  • Punishment dropped for Christian student who spoke against gays

A Texas high school has lifted punishment issued to a student who expressed a religious opposition to homosexuality, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.

The 14-year-old Fort Worth freshman told a classmate that ā€œIā€™m a Christian, and I believe being gay is wrong,ā€ leading to a three-day suspension, which was reversed Wednesday, though school district officials have not commented on the issue, the paper said.
