  • Huh?  I am now confused, which is very easy to do.

Did you read my mind?  I was just about to type the following.
Yeah I was wrong. Abe was worse than Washington
    that said

YES the USA is evil . Not the colony, the country .

what should have been done differently- not rebel against England

Vatican 2 was worse than both WW1 and WW2 combined.
So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

How would that have been better? If this country was still English, then wouldn't we have much less Catholicism?

Don't you think that everything happens for a reason that gives better glory to God?

I am not trying to be argumentive.  My intent is just to look at the situation from different perspectives and discuss these views, then see which one fits with God's plan.  Does anyone else believe that when we die we will see how each situation was at the same time both merciful and just from God's perspective.

If England had been a Catholic country in the 18th century, then I would agree that rebellion would be wrong. But of course England was not Catholic by then. A couple of the colonies were Catholic, but most were not, if I recall correctly.

Mexico gained its independence from Spain in 1810. But, IMO, it wasn't a good idea, because that's when freemasons, mainly from the U.S., started causing trouble for Mexico, with helping to incite revolution after revolution. Before Mexico gained independence, it had a higher standard of living than the U.S., but of course that all began to change after the freemasonic revolutions. The freemasons didn't want a strong Catholic country bordering the U.S.
"It is licit to resist a Sovereign Pontiff who is trying to destroy the Church. I say it is licit to resist him in not following his orders and in preventing the execution of his will. It is not licit to Judge him, to punish him, or to depose him, for these are acts proper to a superior."

Maryland was Catholic for a moment. They wanted a place to practice religion freely, but the protestants didn't want the same thing. This caused a mass exodus of Catholics from Maryland to Kentucky in about 1812.

thats why i said william of orange was the worst. He rebelled against a true catholic king.

the rebellion was still wrong because they went from bad to even worse
also the pope recognised george iii as king
