Judaism Discovered

I noticed that the prices for Judaism Discovered have sky-rocketed:

On Amazon Used copies are selling for $365 minimum, and the new copies are $600.

Apparently Michael Hoffman no longer sells the physical copy of this book. There is a Kindle version for $27.

I have a physical copy in near-mint condition (it's been perused once, and left on the shelf).

I don't read it anymore and am considering selling it (or trading it for some books that I have in mind). Is anyone interested?

odd that Hoffman would discontinue it if it sells well (and it typically should if there's a 350+ dollar market for it used!)

Anyway, how does this differ from his Judaism's Strange Gods which is also quite the read?

Is it hardbound?  Make sure to scan it and make several copies of it.  I wonder who is bidding up the price?

Hoffmann is coming out with a 2nd edition - not sure when or what this entails. There's also the kindle version which is a lot cheaper, but still expensive for an e-book.

Judaism Discovered includes the entirety of Judaism's strange gods along with several hundred more pages of research and information. I haven't read the other book so i don't know what else is included that isn't in the Judaism's strange gods. It's over a thousand pages in length. The 3 introductions (to the judaic, christian, and general reader) are over 100 pages.

Yes, it is hardbound.

When I got the book several years ago it was only $50. It was sold by an independent seller through Amazon, which does not carry the book itself. I have no idea why its price is so inflated now.

The pricing doesn't have anything to do with this book in particular. I've seen it over and over on Amazon. I think Amazon's system allows such pricing to happen automatically when certain conditions are present. Either that, or it's just the standard business model of some book sellers... manage to sell one copy of something and you can go home for the day.
