Yes, but there have been reports from credible sources inside the Vatican that the docuмent being prepared in response to this week's consecrations will include some sort of negative declartion of the laity. Possibly excommunication. If I were Rome, I would. Why handle this the same way as '88? If wanted to really scatter the fold, then scare the hell out of them. Sure, many won't care, but I believe many would think twice about attending anymore.

It's not legal to excommunicate the laity. There are no grounds for it. If someone tried to tell me Im excommunicated for attending resistance or sspx, I would laugh and wear it like badge. Our Lord was called a criminal during His passion. The Jews falsely accused Him with false witnesses. It was an "improper trial". Neither would an excommunication of the sspx members, priests, bishops, etc. hold any water. Where is the public sin? The sin is adhering the the timeless Faith and Mass? The modern churchmen are the ones who have ex- commune cut themselves off from Christ's church. God will serve out the justice in the end. The pedos and homos in the vatican will not look so shiny in their fresh pressed garments and their diplomatic words on the judgement day. They will be exposed for who they are.

What counts is Our Lord’s opinion. If He considers me excommunicated and I receive the Sacraments, I’m in trouble. If the one who purports to represent Him and does not, he has no authority to excommunicate me.

Pretend martyrdom.

you could have come to the Resistance at any point.

Yea but it will be such poetic justice for the SSPXers.

For years they have turned their nose up at Bishop Williamson and the resistance. Now they get humiliated. SERVES... THEM.... RIGHT

A heretic can not excommunicate a Catholic.

This is, of course, the correct answer.  "Excommunicated by whom?"  "Excommunicated from what?"
