Rejection of Fatima is how Sedevacantism isnt Catholic?

I do not see how the Fatima secrets contradict the SV position. Our Lady asked His Holiness Pius XII (and some predecessors as well if I'm correct?) to do the consecration, but none of them have done it. The result is the present crisis with all it's disasters. In the end, a Pope will most likely do the consecration, opening the path for catholic restoration.

I've never said America is "the greatest country ever." I don't see how any Catholic could really think that, because the country was founded on indifferentist principles. I just don't think one can attach heresy (Americanism) to people just because they love their country.

I didn't say you did think it.  But I know of those who do.  One of them, a good friend of mine by the way who I believe I've disabused of his error, would quote something from the Old Testament saying "I would that you not have kings," which I was never able to find.  But this was supposed to prove that American democracy was the long-awaited ideal form of governance.  And he did say, outright, that this country is THE BEST, in those words.

There is a blindness among certain Catholics towards the fact that America is indifferentist.  They may acknowledge it if pressed, but not with any fervor.  They will get very evasive if you ask if they agree with separation of Church and state.  They may mumble "Er, no," but then they will champion "freedom," and what is that if not religious liberty, the separation of Church and state?

Look at Myrna below you.  Myrna, do you think America is the greatest country?  Yes or no answer, please.   Take a look at this prayer before you do, the Our Lady of Ransom novena --

Quote
Blessed be Thou, O Mary, the honor and the joy of Thy people! On the day of Thy glorious Assumption, Thou didst take possession of Thy queenly dignity for our sake; and the annals of the human race are a record of Thy merciful interventions. The captives whose chains Thou hast broken, and whom Thou hast set free from the degrading yoke of the Saracens, may be reckoned in the millions. We are still rejoicing in the recollection of Thy dear Birthday; and Thy smile is sufficient to dry our tears and chase away the clouds of grief. And yet, what sorrows there are still upon the earth, where Thou Thyself didst drink such long draughts from the cup of suffering! Thou alone, O Mary, canst break the inextricable chains, in which the cunning prince of darkness entangles the dupes he has deceived by the high-sounding names of equality and liberty. Show thyself a Queen, by coming to the rescue. The whole earth, the entire human race, cries out to Thee, in the words of Mordochai: “Speak to the King for us, and deliver us from death!” (Esther 15: 3)

There is a particular mentality out there, you could call it John Birch Catholicism.  It doesn't seem rampant at SGG, where you were.  But this mentality is stuck in the 50's and the Cold War, is sometimes unashamedly pro-Israel, and sometimes seems more American than Catholic, as if America comes first and being Catholic later.

Because Fatima was always tied into the "Cold War" by Bishop Sheen in the 50's, that is where this mentality comes from.  I felt that it was giving tacit support to America, which would be giving support to ʝʊdɛօ-Masonry ( in my mind of the time ).  That is why I had a huge problem with Fatima and thought it might be a deception.

I thought that Mary should have said something about America.  Of course, as I now see, this was imposing my own obsession on Mary.  Mary is no fan of our government.  But she can still desire peace for the people here and elsewhere.

The reason Our Lady is so focused on Russia is because she is going to do to Russia what she did to Aztec Mexico. It will become a zealous daughter of the Church (after she is defeated) and will bring China into the Church with her.
