Never one to miss publicity:

'Conspicuous humility' I've decided to call this.

I am not that optimistic about the new Pope. Because

* Fr Leonardo Boff and Hans Kung were delighted at his being elected

* The Italian Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ supports the new Pope

* The secular mass media gave so much coverage on the new Pope. And none of them was negative.

* The new Pope has affirmed he will continue with the NEW ecuмenism (of VC II).

Yet so many Catholics are so optimistic and happy with him. It's time to double our prayers.

He already has the approval of all of my protestant associates, they are all singing his praises.
