They're gleeful at the thought of a mass apostasy of Catholics in favour of their Protestant heresies. They're only "concerned" about the Church so they can continue to smear Catholicism and spread their antichrist Pope lies.
My thought is that an apostasy and schism actually has happened and has been going on for years, it just hasn't been formalized or publicized as such in the quasi-religious or secular press. Isn't the NO basically that, a purveyor of modernism and protestant heresies? Many liberal NO members I have known have been waiting for Francischurch for years. They bristled at being at odds with the world. they LOVE false ecuмenism. Even with the sex abuse crisis staring at them, they can discount it as "pedophilia" only and leave the predator ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs happily and openly in place. The NO modernists have no problem giving up the little " sensum catholicuм" that has yet to be abandoned or destroyed. Let's face it. There are two (unofficial) Churches already and probably most "catholics" can be filed under modernists. The future attacks will be against us, traditionalists, by them the NO.( along with the other protestants) The crisis of "faith" is truly just among the neo-conservatives hanging on for dear life to Conciliar Rome.

Protestantism is the reason for the crisis because they helped create Vatican II.

Protestants also have this sex scandal, but their members and congregations are not usually rich, so there is no deep money for attorneys to grab. Thus it only makes the local news. Pastors and church members can secretly pay off those they have abused, and then go to another church and abuse those members. So, yes, there is no accountability.

Protestantism is the reason for the crisis because they helped create Vatican II.
.
The most heretical effect of Vat.II was the unclean spirit of Vat.II interpretation that there is salvation outside the Church.
The single most contributing quote leading to that false proposition is found in LG 8, where it says,
.
"The Church of Christ... subsists in the Catholic Church."
.
That was suggested by a Protestant observer at Vat.II, the suggestion being passed up to the authors of the docuмents.
.
Protestants had other contributions to make as well.
.
When the demonic council had ended, 6 Protestant ministers were enjoined by Paul VI to fabricate the Novus Ordo fake liturgy.

Rank and file Protestants have an abiding desire to have everything okay in the Catholic Church and it is highly upsetting to them to hear that there are problems in the Catholic Church or that everything isn't okay in the Vatican. This has been the case all along. The regular Joes among Protestants take a lot of comfort in believing that the Catholic Church will always be there, a formidable edifice that marks history's landscape with its unavoidable presence. It is nothing short of terrifying to them to imagine a world without the Catholic Church.
