I can't help but pay attention to what NO people believe because most of my extended family and acquaintances come from that background. My comment had more to do with what passes for NO Catholic culture at large, which can easily be gauged by its conformity with progressive politics. Name any major Catholic university and the administration, faculty, and student body are aligned with the gospel of George Soros far more so than the gospel of Christ.
Thanks for the clarification. Yes, quite a few NO'ers are progressive. But some also consider themselves to be conservative, at least in my area. They are pro-life, etc., but they don't really condemn sin as they should. What is considered as conservative is really just a lesser form of progressive. Proper catechesis isn't much heard from the pulpit.
But still....the conservative as well as the progressives will, at times, quote Francis. Not in the same way as trads, of course. Trads will look for error. But from the subject of this thread, it is evident that not everything that Francis says is an error.
