what passes for the papacy has become so irrelevant that the only people who really pay attention to what Bergoglio says are trad Catholics, just to use as a barometer of gauging some eschatological time table.

It kind of goes to show, despite our disagreements on the NO Popes, that we actually believe in the papacy.

How would you know that the only people really paying attention to Francis are trads? 

IMO, the Novus Ordo folks do still pay attention to what Francis says. I peruse and read a lot of online blogs (and diocesan bulletins), some of which are Novus Ordo, and they do quote Francis at times, and usually in a positive manner. They don't seem to see anything wrong with what he says.

Since most here don't have anything to do with the Novus Ordo, evidence of this isn't obvious.

I’ll add one more thing to this.  I suspect that Pints with Aquinas chose Peter Dimond to destroy that Recognize and Resist proponent because when people agree with the the Dimond Brother, upon follow up they would discover that he and his community espouse this unreasonable rejection of BoD and BoB and go further to reject as heretics every single Bishop and every Catholic who believes such.  A premise so ludicrous that the many will likely conclude; this guy is actually a nut and he’s probably wrong about the seat being vacant too, we must just have a heretical apostate Pope, carry on.
