The whole point of the Traditional Movement is "in a time of confusion, hold to what is certain."
Similar to the famous advice on the discernment of spirits, as taught in Ignatian Retreats: when disturbed, make no major changes to your life.
So yes, holding to what you know is somewhat static. Theology can't "develop" on a bunch of lifeboats. It's all we can do to KEEP THE FAITH during this epic Crisis in the Church, when diabolical confusion reigns everywhere.
Spot on, very simply put.
P.S.- Crisis magazine is rat poison, except rat poison is 99% nutritious food, while Crisis Mag is not even close.
