By the way, that is a very interesting issue of the Verbum...when Archbishop Lefebvre and Bishop de Castro Mayer were so openly praised unapologetically.

As for Fr. Doran saying the New Mass I don't think there is any evidence of that. He says the Maronite Liturgy.

That's what I meant.
The Maronite Rite didn't escape Vatican 2. In fact, my understanding is that the Maronite is one of the most liberal Eastern Rites one can find.

His new milieu is completely Conciliar. There's no doubt about it.

Sorry for being imprecise. And I saw that too as I read over the old Fr. Doran thread. I thought to myself, "He already knows that stuff I just told him...he was in this thread!"
hahaha

As I recall, his name is Fr. Patrick Dolan.  I was there at his chapel in Redding, CA in 2003.
He had converted his garage into a chapel, Mother of Sorrows chapel.

I met him in Chico, CA, where he was saying the Tridentine Latin Mass at the St Theresa
chapel.  I served at Mass several times in Chico and in Redding.

Anyway, I don't know much about him after 2003.  He had left the SSPX before I met him,
for what sounded like a good reason to me (at that time).

He was good friends with Fr Benedict Van Der Putten at that time.
He was in the seminary in Winona, MN with Fr. Thomas(?) Scott.

He seemed like a wise priest to me and more charitable than most.
