I think that's why Our Lord stressed why it was bad to scandalize and what would happen to those who scandalized "My little ones."

It's in 3 out of four of the gospels, so it was important, methinks. Here's just one.

Matthew 18:6 But he that shall scandalize one of these little ones that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea.

I also think that this is the case for a good number of people. But for most people who would otherwise be "normal", I believe that idolatry (to some extent) is what causes some people to "realize" their latent ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity later on in life.

I wish sedetrad would comment on this thread, because I believe he could add a good amount of insight, considering he works with people that absolutely have this exact problem as a cause of their trauma.

The sex offender ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ's that I have worked with have all been raped and or molested as children and preteens. That has been my experience. The majority that I have worked with have who also believe themselves to be ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs that have offended were also raped and or molested as preteens and children by family members.

At least half of the heterosɛҳuąƖ sex offenders that I have worked with have never been raped or molested as children.

Let me give this caveat, most people that are molested or raped as children DO NOT BECOME SEX OFFENDERS. This has been proven by modern research. On that note, these children will have to deal with a lifetime of misplaced guilt, shame, and mental illness.
