As far as trad Catholics go, here in UK the group is quite small (I’m including anyone who attends regularly any traditional Latin Mass and follows the Catholic teachings particularly on abortion and contraception as a trad Catholic) so it’s easier to form connections, especially with social media. Though as parents we can try to put our children in the environment where they’ll meet someone… but they have free will, it’s up to them in the end if they choose wisely 🙏

I do get the impression that in the UK that the trad scene is a lot more close knit than elsewhere and it is far easier to get to know a lot of people - even for people who don't put themselves out there too much

Yes you’re absolutely right, that is the situation in the UK. Very easy to network and get to know other Latin Mass attendees.

Britain's pub culture also helps people get to know eachother, even strangers, rather quickly

In the past, women were banned from pubs

That’s very true. There are still pubs where there isn’t a big screen and people have to chat to each other. Also live music at pubs happens a lot here.
