Why not get a temporary tattoo and see what reaction you get?

However the question in my mind is , What is the teaching of the Church today , especially in the Traditional Movement.

Director, you do not say from whom that text originates. But what you have quoted is the work of individual. (The Church does not teach against tattoos because you might get Hep C.)

You seem confused as to the true nature of the Church. Church teaching does not change. The teaching of the Church is the same today as in the past.

The "Traditional Movement" does not have a set of its own teachings, as if it were another church.

The Church is by its very nature traditional. I would presume that you are attached to the new church of Novus Ordo. Am I right?

I think you need to reread the transcript, which I think was well written , and taking in all aspects of defaming the body.

It clearly defines what the Church taught in the Old Testament, and holds in the New Testament , unless changed by a Pope in some manor , or Decree.

The author as a added follow up added the dangers of contracting a dangerous desease from tattooing, as a side note.  No one said it was Defined teaching.

The refernence to the Traditional Movement, is "When is the last time you ever heard from the Pophet a sermon on the teachings and dangers of Tattoo s , or piercing the body.

Any person with common sense should know that puncturing or permanently marking the body is not normal, and a sign of paganism.  This is why it should be the duty of the Priests to point these things out so our young people are made aware of the consequences and scarred for life.

Temporary , or real , its not the mark that is important, its if you want to follow God s word.  Its all about vanity.

:dancing-banana:---"Who takes the dancing banana seriously?" Some of you have no sense of humor!

But I would like to know if anyone on here thinks it is sinful to have a wart removed or an unattractive birthmark faded?  Is it vanity to get dentures, implants, or to whiten stained teeth?  Should body hair be removed?  Is it ever permissible to color one's hair?  What about hair replacement for women who have gone bald? A uni-brow or facial hair is fine for a man.  May a woman with it get it removed by laser or electrolysis, or must she resign herself to stubble and a five o'clock shadow?

:jester:---I know!  She should wear a burka!
