I think it was Sean Johnson compiled some statistics on how many demons (Not-)Fr. Amorth claims to have exorcised in 30 years or so, and it came out to something like hundreds every single day including weekends, with no vacation. :laugh1: The guy is a joke. And he supported Vatican 2.

As Fr. Cekada used to say, "If Amorth knows so much about demons, why can't he see the most demonically-possessed human being in the world wearing a white cassock and standing on the balcony of St. Peter's?!"

Catholic Exorcists Raise Concerns Over 'The Pope's Exorcist' Film | uCatholic

Meh, apart from historical liberties / inaccuracies (that's nothing new there in film, and the trailer says "inspired by..." LOL), their chief criticism is because they characterize Catholic exorcism as "an exceptionally joyous event".  Sounds like Modernist drivel.  There's nothing "joyous" much less "exceptionally" so about an actual exorcism ... except at the very end when the individual has been liberated.

This movie looks very entertaining to me ... with the caveat being that there's likely some garbage Modernist theology in there.  I saw nothing along those lines in the trailer above, however, and don't really care about this nonsensical NO Modernist "review".

With that said, I suspect the movie will be filled with terrible Modernist theology regarding demons and Catholic doctrine.

This movie isn't claiming to be 100% accurate regardless, and if I watch it, it won't be to get a biography of Fr. Amorth.  What's this (Not-)Fr. stuff?  He was ordained in 1951.

As for Wojtyla being possessed, he probably still wouldn't meet the criteria for a Catholic exorcism, well, except perhaps for this incident here (2:40 - 2:48, especially that expression at 2:47) --
