I mean, the weather has been kind of unusual all around the world on the last decade or so, but I believe that it is not something out of the ordinary when we think about the big picture.
Has it really?  I remember a couple very hot summers in Seattle in the 1960s and in the late 1960s we had three feet of snow.  Never saw that again.  The weather hasn't been any more unusual around the world than it has always been.

Geoengineering Is The Primary Cause Of Global Climate Change, Not CO2

My parents were but children in the 1960s, so I have not been around that long, but we've had some events that I had not seen in my lifetime, at least not that I can remember, like some particularly hot summers and extremely dry winters in the area that I live. But, as you point out, it is probably just the regular variation of the climate.
