Climate change or some kind of cycle
« on: October 18, 2025, 04:41:52 PM »
I doubt it's caused by man, but the earth God created is going through some kind of cycle, because we're having crazy issues with the climate right now.
Droughts, heat waves, etc. and it's not just here. Something is going on. I just don't know what.

It makes it even worse when Home Depot puts out ALL their Christmas merchandise (including 3 dozen lit Christmas trees) by 10/16.

I realize it's Texas and we don't get snow, but can we at least wait until we can open the windows sometimes, before we go full Christmas mode?
The A/C is still running 24/7 around here, and not for comfort, but for medical/health reasons. i.e., out of necessity.

As far as I know, our lifespans are far too short for us to get a realistic notion of climate changes, and the weather data that we have is far too recent to give us a solid basis. "Experts" will use a lot of modeling and interpolation, and we know how limited these are, specially when we talk about things that happened centuries ago.

I mean, the weather has been kind of unusual all around the world on the last decade or so, but I believe that it is not something out of the ordinary when we think about the big picture.

I've never taken the time to really look into "Climate Change", but it would be fitting if it was a punishment from God..as sin increases worldwide, the climate gets worse. But it also wouldn't really surprise me if it was also, at least partly, a result of man's greed. 400+ million tons of plastic alone being produced in a year, and the chemicals released in the process, simply cannot be good for the environment

We are in a severe drought here in New England. I think we need to pray for good weather and put a larger emphasis on Rogation and Ember days. I think the climate change narrative is just another way to remove God from man’s mind.
