Do veils that are very transparent even count? Because I've seen such ones too.

I don't believe the 1917 CIC specifies what counts as a head covering.

Especially with veiling being something that has to be restored in the Church, as long as a woman is covering her head with something halfway decorous, I wouldn't seek to "drill down" and start making assessments beyond that.

If young women dressed modestly in church, then separating genders in pews wouldn't be necessary.
Then why was separating the sexes the practice of the Church when people were modestly dressed?

It was the tradition of ѕуηαgσgυє and Temple in Jesus’s time. The most conservative of the Jews continue the practice to this day. Have a look in a Hasidic or ultra-Orthodox schul and you’ll find the women’s gallery. It is so separate from the men that they do not see one another. The women also do not see the rabbi, either. The earliest Christians kept the practice. At what time it was abandoned and why, I do not know. Perhaps it was impractical in the catacombs and around the Mass rocks?

I said NECESSARY.  Separating of the sexes isnt necessary or else it would be required by the liturgy.

Are you trying to reach "BINGO" or Connect Four?  How many posts in a row are you going to slam the Resistance, as if there's something fundamentally wrong with them or that position?

You seem to be carrying a genuine grudge or beef against the Resistance. Earlier you were complaining about priests becoming SAJM instead of fully independent mavericks.

Unless the Resistance ran over your dog, you're being too hard on what is essentially a group of Catholics following the path laid out by Archbishop Lefebvre. They are still human beings, which means they can commit sin.

But you seem to have a genuine animus against the Resistance itself. Why? What happened to you? What is your story?

What?

The point was that even in the remnant, which is the resistance, the lure of the world is so strong that it has affected our priests ability to enforce modesty in Churches.

And I never supported fully independent mavericks. I explained that in a response to you.

But I equally dont support those trying to turn the resistance into a cult like the SSPX was through imposing extra conditions that are simply not necessary for most priests and lay people. Not that I am suggesting the SAJM is a cult, but those trying to use it as such. The SAJM is but one group in the resistance. Most of the resistance is independent pockets, just as Bishop Williamson intended and hoped it would remain.
