Father James Wathen (RIP) against sedevacantism

I have believed in sedevacantism for about 11 or 12 years. I find the case supporting sedevacantism rock solid. Nevertheless, with the continuing degradation of the sedevacantist community: Derkson, the Dimonds, Ibranyi, Sanborn, Cekada, etc. there is looking more and more like the Novus Ordo Church may be the only serious contender for "the Church". If the Novus Ordo Church is not the Catholic Church, it seems that the Church has been destroyed or taken over by Satan, both of which are unacceptable due to the promises of my Lord Jesus Christ. I know that a number of holy saints have declared that if all Catholics enter apostasy and remove themselves from the Church, and only a few remain faithful to God, they constitute the Catholic Church, but this is rather extreme.

And the fact that he taught against sedevacantism gives me some hope that if I study Father Wathen's writings and lectures I can give up sedevacantism. I am open to the truth, but I do not accept falsehood. It is very uncomfortable to me to be on the other side of this issue from over a billion Novus Ordos, more  than six billion pagans or heretics and schismatics, and most traditional Catholics who do believe in the validity of the Modernist popes. As they say, truth is not a democratic process, but it is indeed scary to be all alone on the outside.

Why did you find sedevacantism a legitimate theory in the first place?

So it's basically a problem of being the odd man out and your own discomfort? Welcome to the real world!
