Well done Dust-7.
Grotto strikes me as the most imaginative and counter-intuitive.
It was more 'found'. I think it was just a motion blur/smear that left this sort of lit 'grotto' in behind a figure that appeared, seeming to suggest a woman draped in linen, or whatever. It did suggest, also, to me the obvious of a figure of the Virgin. But . .
Shadowflight has me a bit mystified. You used custom brushes to draw it ? Or are the elements masked out from a picture.
No, it was a dull, monochrome, overcast photo of some pigeons leaving an overhead line and flying toward some trees or bushes. Creating a sort of 'threshold' by manipulating the level sliders, the birds tended to merge right into the leaves. But the 'watercolor' treatment was more just a case of blurring and using different blending modes, then placing the original on top and punching through with different blends. And clearly a swirl was faded in, as well.
As this, they suggest to me doves. One version I had with this silhouette blended to a blue sky/water background, with a crucifix 'anchored' or resting on the top of the bush/tree. So the doves seem to fly toward the Cross. It just seemed appropriate. I'll post that version, too. I used it as the central image for one of my CDs, but replaced the crucifix with various clip-art tulips, instead, for certain reasons.
