Re: SSPX Souvenir Wine - 4 bottles, Bishop symbols 'Cuvée des Sacres'

The website for the event suggests months of preparation for thousands of people to attend: Registered participants can book accommodation at more than a dozen nearby hotels and family homes; they can request carpooling options from more than 100 locations; and prepay daily lunches via a festival-style wristband.

And then there is the wine. Registered participants can “take home a memory of this historic event” by purchasing a limited edition set of four bottles of wine. Each bottle features a bishop-themed label: an image of a bishop's pointed miter hat, his ring, cross or crozier staff.
The 75 Swiss franc ($92.50) “Cuvee des Sacres” gift box — Pinot noir, Syrah, Petit Arvine and Fendant — is available for pickup on site.
That level of organization suggests “they never had any idea of walking back" the plans, Faggioli said.
The pope seems OK to move on.
The consecrations pose a direct challenge to church unity...
What's next?

I agree.  There is a cult aspect to this.

To me it seems more of a big business aspect. They promote themselves in the exact same way that people who work for profit do. It does not look good.

These traditionalist Catholics are defying Pope Leo XIV and embracing their outsider status

Oh no, really? That's so commercial. It sounds like a traditional Catholic disneyland. Do they also offer a speed pass wrist band that allows the highest paying guests to ride the rides first? and  Crozier shaped pretzels for sale with mustard?

 Is this serious?  Souvenir wine, a different kind for each bishop?  Sorry, but it’s just plain tacky, imo. Archbishop LeFebvre is probably turning in his grave. A quadruple consecration is a solemn, holy occasion, not a time for fund raising or a festival like atmosphere.
I DO assume the t-shirt is a joke.
In recent years, I feel the SSPX has become too commercialized, using extravagant prizes to lure in wealthy donors. A luxury automobile, a Rolex, now wine?  Even the chapel I used to attend began to sponsor events that only the well-off could attend. A formal catered dinner and a musician for $100 a plate? I know of no parents of large families or even small families or young couples who attended. If it’s really vocations to the priesthood they’re after, they won’t be attracting any boys or young men by sponsoring events they can’t attend.
I’m not saying there can never be appeals to the wealthy, but leaving out the actual source of vocations gives the wrong message.

What's next? Pay 50 euros and take a picture with a fresh bishop of your choice?
