I would personally advise against conversing with demons.  They are known to retaliate.  St. Francis de Sales advises ignoring them and turning to God, Our Lady, the angels, and the saints.

Yes there is no mortal sin with dreams, so I will just add to what others have said.....

Avoid all near (or far) occasions of that sin always in your day - "O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee" is a potent remedy for this.
Spiritual reading during the day especially before bed.
Pray the rosary daily, work your way up to praying 15 decades every day.
Listen to good Catholic sermons from traditional priests especially before bed - youtube and the other video platforms have many to choose from.
If you're listening to popular music (hop hop/rock/etc), stop. It only serves to kill all aspects of your interior life.

I don't know of any spiritual writings on this.  I don't know that you can "battle" the dreams in the sense that you get rid of them altogether.  Typically, when I experience what I believe is an attack of the devil in the middle of the night, I eventually wake up and immediately pray the St Michael Prayer as well as a couple of other prayers.  Then I find I can fall back to sleep.  I find that this is more likely to occur if I have been very tired.  Maybe you too are to the point of exhaustion when this happens.  If so, I can only suggest fixing that as well.
