Fr Peter Scott has one opinion, Archbishop Lefebvre had another (which changed throughout the years).  Fr X has another opinion, Fr Y has another.  That is the SSPX in a nutshell.  And so everyone has a different opinion on a whole range of issues (pope or no pope - Catholic or conciliar church - new ordinations rites valid or invalid - old or new fast and abstinence laws - old or new holy days of obligation - strictly 1962 missal or bits of the pre-1955 missal thrown in - "deal with Rome" good or bad), and that is why the SSPX is in such a mess.
What is your solution to the "mess" that the SSPX is in? Or the problem with so many different opinions?

This Fr. Phillipson spent time at St. Benedict Center.

;)This same priory has been docuмented many times on this chapel. You may also be aware that the old pastor of All Souls received training on the Latin Mass from the priory and an eccentric "monsignor" also spent months "In choir" at this chapel. The same prior when Fr. Hewko had a Mass years ago at a neighbor's house was spying on people. The list goes on and on

The SSPX has constantly shifted back and forth into contradictory positions over the past 40 years.  It seems to be part of its nature.  There’s nothing I can do to “solve” the mess it has made for itself.  All I can say is study your catechism, study the Faith.  Don’t rely on the SSPX, nor the Resistance for that matter.  There are alternatives to avoid the cognitive dissonance inherent in both groups, but such advice is usually not welcome on an R&R forum.  ;)

Your alternative to the "mess," is, I assume, sedevacantism, is that right?
If sedevacantism is your idea of an "alternative," then it's an alternative that is also a mess.
