I've been fasting since Thursday 3pm, what time is noon traditionally? 12pm? 3pm? Or should I break the fast at 6pm? I am asking because I am starting to feel sickish. I mean breaking the fast on Holy Saturday of course not Good Friday.Anonymous so I don't brag about fasting as we are not supposed to tell others of our fasting and mortifications.
What is your definition of fasting? Is it refusing food completely? Is it refusing all fluids? Or of both food and beverages? What is the time at your place? If you are feeling sickish how far and how do you travel to Church? As for what time is noon, it is always 1200 hours on the clock, but there are different time zones throughout the world, so it aries from place to place
The law of fast and abstinence ceases at noon on Holy Saturday:1917 Code of Canon Law: Canon 1252§ 4. On [Sundays] or feasts of precept, the law of abstinence or of abstinence and fast or a fast only ceases, except during Lent, nor is the vigil anticipated; likewise it ceases on Holy [Saturday] afternoon.
Wait so lent finishes at 12pm Saturday? So i could eat full meals + meat? I always assumed it finished at midnight Sunday morning.

Pius XII changed the end of the fast to MIDNIGHT on Holy Saturday (ie. beginning of Easter). I am surprised that so many here are ending their fasts at noon on Saturday. That is pre-1955.
Midday is 12 a.m. and midnight is 12 p.m. soOne minute after 11.59 a.m. is 12.00 a.m.one minute after 11.59 p.m. is 12.00 p.m.
Nadir is right, the Lenten fast ends and noon on Holy Saturday. Just after noon I will have a ham sandwich with some nice horseradish - that's the way it's been since I was a kid. Mmmmm!
