Mr. Vere, do you think this is a good time to be arguing in favor of some kind of agreement with Rome? It's very clear that Pope Francis doesn't like traditionalists. It's also clear that some people, such as Bishop Williamson and the much hated Malachi Martin, predicted that a very liberal Pope would be elected after JPII who would take the Church to an even greater and deeper crisis than it was in before. Now these two men have been proven correct(the timing was slightly off; Benedict's election was a temporary stop gap whose work was to vindicate the old Mass, and lift the excommunications before all hell broke lose). I'm not a member of the Resistance, I still favor the SSPX unless +Fellay makes some kind of compromise. But I can see the wisdom now in what some of those who told His Excellency Bishop Fellay to be wary. What do you say? Do you really believe that there isn't a crisis in the Church, and that the actions of Pope Francis are compatible with his predecessors? Thanks for your response.
