    Christmas Eve commemorates the Feast Day (December 24th) of saints Adam and Eve.

    Most Catholic calendars don't mention this fact.
    (Nor do any Protestant calendars, which only mention Valentines day -- without the apostrophe; and St. Patrick's Day with the apostrophe.)

    Perhaps they omit the apostrophe because there are many Valentines exchanged that day? Who knows?
    In any event, Saint Valentine was Catholic and Feb. 14th is really his Feast Day: St. Valentine's Day.

    Of course, again the Protestants are out of line on this, because they think the command to honor one's parents is the FIFTH commandment and the 4th is "keep holy the Lord's Day." That's because they presume to split the First Commandment into two, so as to promote the abominable iconoclasm of the despicable Calvinists, and to combine the 9th and 10th into one so as to relegate women to the status of farm animals and material possessions.

    Back in the 1980's Our Lady said to a privileged soul that we will lose a great statesman and then a question is asked what will happen then. After this I am starting to think that it just might be Trump. If Trump is voted out of office (impeachment, heart attack, assassination only brings on Pence) in 2020 or leaves office in 2024, it is not looking good. The Demoncrats are very radical now. Everyone knows the voters are mercurial and will eventually vote in a Demoncrat president and Congress. Heck look what they did in 2018.

    A new world with new nations is beckoning after this old world is swept away. Dodging bullets can only be done so many times before your luck runs out.

    • Very dramatic, and the guy in the video uses all the right buzzwords -- lamestream media, etc. -- but nothing there's substantive there. He could as easily claim that he "understands" that national security sources have revealed that eight members of the House of Representatives own trained flying monkeys. There is absolutely no good reason to believe a word that he says.

    • Why is December 24th in particular the feastday of Adam and Eve? Is that the day they died? Or the day they were born?

    Haven't a clue tbh, but it makes sense that the feast day of the Parents of Man would be the day before the feast day of the Son of Man.

    • Anne Catherine Emmerich says that March 25 is the holiest and most sacred day of the year.  She says that's the day that God created Adam, it's the day that the angel announced to Our Lady of the Incarnation and it's the day that Our Lord died on Good Friday.  All of these things happened at 3pm.

    During the Middle Ages, the Church in various parts of Europe celebrated what was been referred to as “Adam and Eve Day” on December 24. It was the final preparation before Christmas and is tied to the development of the Christmas tree.  Over the centuries theologians have come to label Jesus and Mary as the “New Adam” and the “New Eve.” This corresponds to their role in reversing the “no” of the first Adam and Eve in the garden by saying “yes” to God’s plan.

    St. Irenaeus summarizes the logic of this profound truth.

    The Lord, coming into his own creation in visible form, was sustained by his own creation which he himself sustains in being. His obedience on the tree of the cross reversed the disobedience at the tree in Eden; the good news of the truth announced by an angel to Mary, a virgin subject to a husband, undid the evil lie that seduced Eve, a virgin espoused to a husband.

    As Eve was seduced by the word of an angel and so fled from God after disobeying his word, Mary in her turn was given the good news by the word of an angel, and bore God in obedience to his word. As Eve was seduced into disobedience to God, so Mary was persuaded into obedience to God; thus the Virgin Mary became the advocate of the virgin Eve.


    To highlight this reality the Church celebrated a feast in memory of Adam and Eve on the day before Christmas, the birth of the Savior. It brought the Advent season into full circle and reminded people of the primary reason behind the Incarnation.

    To commemorate the unique feast, there also developed a “Paradise Play,” that recounted the story in Genesis. A central part of the play was a “Paradise Tree” that stood for the tree in the garden of Eden. On the tree the people hung fruit and some believe that this tree and its proximity to Christmas was an early form of a Christmas tree.  It is a fascinating historical feast, one that heightens the drama of Christmas Day and reminds us why Jesus’ birth was such good news.

    The modern Christmas tree, though, originated in western Germany. The main prop of a popular medieval play about Adam and Eve was a “paradise tree,” a fir tree hung with apples, that represented the Garden of Eden. The Germans set up a paradise tree in their homes on December 24, the religious feast day of Adam and Eve. They hung wafers on it (symbolizing the eucharistic host, the Christian sign of redemption); in a later tradition the wafers were replaced by cookies of various shapes. Candles, symbolic of Christ as the light of the world, were often added. In the same room was the “Christmas pyramid,” a triangular construction of wood that had shelves to hold Christmas figurines and was decorated with evergreens, candles, and a star. By the 16th century the Christmas pyramid and the paradise tree had merged, becoming the Christmas tree.

    We are on the brink of massive change in society, that much is certain.  Who is or isn't part of the elites is fuzzy to me.  

    I've heard rumors that Trump will not pick Pence as his VP for 2020, as Pence is a pedo and Trump is using him, just like he's used many neo-cons for particular tasks, then gets rid of them.  It would be nice if true.

    • Sorry, what I meant was that it would be nice if it were true that Trump isn't a pedo/elite (like Pence surely is) and he is using neo-cons (keep your enemies close) for some grand scheme to save America.  But Israel still runs the global show so I'm not holding my breath.

    I do think that Trump will dump Pence soon and name a new running mate.  Just for marketing reasons.
