Dr. Helen Caldicott, much like Trump, pointed a finger at Obama’s administration for propagating anti-Russian policies.
She stated that the U.S. force buildup in Eastern Europe under Obama could have laid grounds for a nuclear war between U.S.-NATO and Russia
Caldicott told Sputnik News that Trump’s “close relationship with [Russian President Vladimir] Putin will lead to rapid withdrawal of these forces and a refashioning of the relationship between Russia and the United States which may ensure our survival.”
If that does not pan out positively, the human race could well be looking at permanent extinction, according to the Nobel Laureate. Dr. Caldicott discussed the nightmarish impact of any future nuclear war between the two superpowers.
“We are all doomed to die a dreadful death of vaporization, severe burns, acute radiation sickness, or freezing and starving to death in the nuclear winter that will ensue,” she surmised.
