  • Does anyone else think that the rising gas prices may trigger an economic collapse that woud give the U.S. excuse to go to war to secure/confiscate oil supplies?

Well, the high gas prices does cause a shift in the distribution of wealth. For instance, Russia's rise and fall is closely linked to energy prices.  It can very well be asked right now, if these high prices are the new floor, rather then all time highs.  In that regards, figuring out how this new wealth distribution will affect the international system is quite relevant.  Same goes with food prices in fact.

However, at this time, I think your suggestion is quite premature.

  • This world is finite.

All money is created by debt. But all interest-bearing debt takes MORE money out of the system than was put in originally.

So every year, people (the federal government, businesses, cities, etc.) must borrow enough to cover last years' interest payments at least, or the money supply starts shrinking. That's what you have right now.

Do you know what a 3% YEARLY increase in the money supply looks like? A nice, straight line going up at a slight angle? Guess again! It's a parabolic curve which shoot straight up after a while.

"The extinction of the human race will come from its inability to EMOTIONALLY comprehend the exponential function." -- Edward Teller

We're almost to that parabolic curve. It's a question of science and the basic laws of mathematics/nature. It has nothing to do with conspiracy theories. That's what many people don't understand.

    1. Yes, trigger an economic collapse.  That is the intent of the NWO Globalists.  As I pointed out on another thread....

As the USSR was a net producing superpower, they broke her back by running the price of crude down to $10/bbl.

As the USA is a net consuming superpower, they are breaking her back (amongst other ways) by running the price of crude up.

    2.  Yes, to question #2.  That is what Afganistan and Iraq are all about.  The attack upon Afganistan was to secure control in order to provide for construction of a pipeline to the Caspian crude.  The US attacked Iraq because they have the 2nd largest proved reserves in the world (arguably).  Shortly before the attack in 2003, King Faud of Saudi Arabia fled to Switzerland as a coupe was about to ensue.  The US lost its control of the Saudi crude.
