Is the US preparing to "nuke" Russia and China?  That, too, is a dog and pony show, just a little deeper in the onion.  Now, Washington could very well launch a "pre-emptive" strike on Moscow and Peking (Beijing or whatever the name-of-the-month is) but, as we saw with Trumps' missile strike on Syria, the Russians and Chinese will be informed well ahead of time and be deep in their bunkers toasting champagne while the sheeple are being barbecued by the billions.  Welcome to the "annihilation of nations" Our Lady of Fatima talked about.  But I doubt a pre-emptive strike is in the cards for two reasons. 1) When the missiles start flying, a lot of arable land is going to be toast.  The elites like their choice wines and sushi.  They certainly are not going to settle for a supply of Raman Noodles and Twinkies.
2) Big enough Catholic communities/monasteries might coalesce which will give the satanists a run for the money once the (radioactive) dust settles.  If there's one thing the elites don't want is a throw of the dice.  They've had too many bad surprises in the past.  Evil men tend to be conservative.  Once they've broken through the "glass ceiling", it's all about preserving the status quo.  A nuclear exchange means we all get bombed back to the stone age. While the elites might have all their toys safely stowed away, how are they going to maintain their stuff and use it if there are no refineries, dry docks, power grids, and etc.
Of course, there is always the ѕυιcιdє factor.  If the elites suddenly find they are losing their geopolitical game of chess, they just might topple the board in a multi-gigaton temper tantrum.  Needless to say, that is a vastly different scenario than the US conducting what it thinks is a "winnable" war of global conquest, sort of like a geopolitical game of Risk or Axis&Allies.
If you want to see how far the dog-and-pony show goes, research WWII, especially the Pacific theatre.  All the evidence points to the Japanese and American elites orchestrating the whole war to transfer Asian gold into what would become the CIA to fund their black ops programs.  Research operation magic.  Research Golden Lily.  Research the strange deaths both of Yamamoto and his successor.  Research Operation Cherry Blossom.  Pearl Harbor, Midway, Leyte Gulf, and etc were all orchestrated.  So were the atom bombs.  And the postwar Japanese elite were all spared.  And the whole of WWII was to destroy the family, which it certainly did in the US.
The most likely scenario is a breakdown of society al a Player Piano, though progressing much more quickly.  In the US the agit-prop has been hitting "six ways from Sunday" ever since the Podesta email leaks.  Every week is another dog and pony show.
But reality is rearing its head.  The global economy has collapsed, trade has plummeted to levels not seen since 1645 AD, millions are starving to death, and whole nations (think Greece and Venezuela) are melting down.  In the US the economy is undergoing a slow-motion train wreck.  Tax revenues are plummeting, stores are closing, real estate is being abandoned, and etc.  They will keeps McDonalds and Walmart and Dollar General open to the bitter end, and keep the internet and lights on as long as possible, but, how many more rain bombs can the US absorb before the power grid breaks?  And how much more nonsense will the people suffer before they riot and revolt?  From Oroville Ca to NYC, triggers are in place.  At some point, things are going to cascade out of control.  Then Jacinta's vision will come to pass:  "Don't you see all those roads and fields full of people, crying because they have nothing to eat?"
