  • Video shows ISIS beheading U.S. journalist James Foley
    By Chelsea J. Carter, CNN
updated 7:28 PM EDT, Tue August 19, 2014

ISIS is demanding the United States end its operations in Iraq

(CNN) -- A video released by ISIS shows the beheading of U.S. journalist James Foley and threatens the life of another American if President Barack Obama doesn't end military operations in Iraq.
In the video posted Tuesday on YouTube, Foley is seen kneeling next to a man dressed in black. He reads a message, presumably scripted by his captors, that his "real killer'' is America.
"I wish I had more time. I wish I could have the hope for freedom to see my family once again," Foley can be heard saying in the video.
     W.H. reacts to journalist's beheading
He is then shown being beheaded.
The National Security Council is aware of the video.
"The intelligence community is working as quickly as possible to determine its authenticity. If genuine, we are appalled by the brutal murder of an innocent American journalist and we express our deepest condolences to his family and friends. We will provide more information when it is available," NSC spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden said.
    What to know about ISIS
Foley disappeared in November 2012 in northwest Syria, near the border with Turkey. He was reportedly forced into a vehicle by gunmen; he was not heard from again. At the time of his disappearance, he was working for the GlobalPost.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Facebook group set up to support Foley and his family, "Free James Foley," wrote, "We know that many of you are looking for confirmation or answers. Please be patient until we all have more information, and keep the Foleys in your thoughts and prayers."
The video also shows another American journalist. His life is said by the militants in the video to hang in the balance, depending on what Obama does next.
U.S. Official: ISIS 'credible alternative to al Qaeda'
The journalist is believed to be Steven Sotloff, who was kidnapped at the Syria-Turkey border in 2013. Sotloff is a contributor to Time and Foreign Policy magazines.
As a freelancer, Foley picked up work for a number of major media outlets, including Agence France-Presse and GlobalPost.
"On behalf of John and Diane Foley, and also GlobalPost, we deeply appreciate all of the messages of sympathy and support that have poured in since the news of Jim's possible execution first broke," Philip Balboni, GlobalPost CEO and co-founder, said in a published statement.
"We have been informed that the FBI is in the process of evaluating the video posted by the Islamic State to determine if it is authentic. Until we have that determination, we will not be in a position to make any further statement. We ask for your prayers for Jim and his family."
Foley had previously been taken captive in Libya. He was detained there in April 2011 along with three other reporters and released six weeks later.
    Who is the ISIS?
Afterward, he said that what saddened him most was knowing that he was causing his family to worry.
Foley grew up in New Hampshire and graduated from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in 2008. Like other young journalists who came of age after the September 11 terror attacks and American wars overseas, Foley was drawn to Iraq, Afghanistan and other areas of conflict.
Friends described Foley as fair, curious and impressively even-tempered.
"Everybody, everywhere, takes a liking to Jim as soon as they meet him," journalist Clare Morgana Gillis wrote in a blog post about him in May 2013, six months after he disappeared in Syria.
"Men like him for his good humor and tendency to address everyone as 'bro' or 'homie' or 'dude' after the first handshake. Women like him for his broad smile, broad shoulders, and because, well, women just like him."

  • The last beheading I saw, from Iraq, was bloodless.  Not sure about this but the whole ISIS/ISIL show is straight out of DC Comics casting.  Kosher certified.

  • ISIS is a CIA creation, their weapons and ammunition is from the U.S.
ISIS are being imported into the U.S. to start beheading Christians
whom will not give up their religion and their beliefs in Jesus Christ.
The liberals want a real blood bath circus just like the Romans at
the coliseum.  It is more fun than baseball, basketball, and
    football.

  • The news broke late yesterday that Islamic State jihadists executed freelance journalist James Foley and posted a video of his beheading. Foley, 40, had been missing for two years while covering the conflict in Syria. I am not going to link to the video or include screen shots from it, but I will share another link that has been circulating since the news of Foley’s brutal death: an article he wrote for the alumni magazine of Marquette University, his alma mater. The piece is about the time Foley spent imprisoned in Libya in 2011:

I began to pray the rosary. It was what my mother and grandmother would have prayed.
I said 10 Hail Marys between each Our Father. It took a long time, almost an hour to count 100 Hail Marys off on my knuckles. And it helped to keep my mind focused.

Clare and I prayed together out loud. It felt energizing to speak our weaknesses and hopes together, as if in a conversation with God, rather than silently and alone. …

One night, 18 days into our captivity, some guards brought me out of the cell. … Upstairs in the warden’s office, a distinguished man in a suit stood and said, “We felt you might want to call your families.”

I said a final prayer and dialed the number. My mom answered the phone. “Mom, Mom, it’s me, Jim.”

    “Jimmy, where are you?”

“I’m still in Libya, Mom. I’m sorry about this. So sorry.” …

“They’re having a prayer vigil for you at Marquette. Don’t you feel our prayers?” she asked.

“I do, Mom, I feel them,” and I thought about this for a second. Maybe it was others’ prayers strengthening me, keeping me afloat.

The official made a motion. I started to say goodbye. Mom started to cry. “Mom, I’m strong. I’m OK. I should be home by Katie’s graduation,” which was a month away.

“We love you, Jim!” she said. Then I hung up.

I replayed that call hundreds of times in my head — my mother’s voice, the names of my friends, her knowledge of our situation, her absolute belief in the power of prayer. She told me my friends had gathered to do anything they could to help. I knew I wasn’t alone.

My last night in Tripoli, I had my first Internet connection in 44 days and was able to listen to a speech Tom Durkin gave for me at the Marquette vigil. To a church full of friends, alums, priests, students and faculty, I watched the best speech a brother could give for another. It felt like a best man speech and a eulogy in one. It showed tremendous heart and was just a glimpse of the efforts and prayers people were pouring forth. If nothing else, prayer was the glue that enabled my freedom, an inner freedom first and later the miracle of being released during a war in which the regime had no real incentive to free us. It didn’t make sense, but faith did.

  • The liberal coward blamed his brother and then let them cut off his head.

It takes a journalist getting beheaded to get national attention.

But have a bunch of barbarians gathering up kids in groups to saw off their heads, and we turn a deaf ear.

I'll bet that when ISIS is fully entrenched in America and harassing churches, the liberals won't say a damned thing, and a lot of it won't even make news.

Director, you always have a clear head and provide excellent objective information.
The video is absolutely and ridiculously fake.  Couldn't you tell just from the man's demeanor and script?  Let alone the bad editing, lack of credible evidence,  the MI6 agent who stood over him, etc.
    Successful CIA/Mossad manipulation once again.

ISIS is the goddess of darkness, a demonic god, and now the name of yet another ʝʊdɛօ masonic illuminati group. The "head" is a Jєω with a name that plays on anglo perspective.

Simon Elliot (Elliot Shimon) aka Al-Baghdadi was born of two Jєωιѕн parents and is a Mossad agent.

We offer below three translations that want to assert that the Caliph Al-Baghdadi is a full Mossad agent and that he was born Jєωιѕн father and mother:

How the Foley beheading gore has been overstated, and the Africa Bank haircut has been understated

If you’ve been trying to view the ‘beheading’ of James Foley over the last two days, then I’d imagine you’ve found it well-nigh impossible. It seems that in Britain, if you watch it you may be committing an offence under the Terrorism Act. I don’t live in Britain any more, so I don’t have that problem. Here in France, I’m not allowed to be rude about French banks (each State to its own censorship of free speech) but watching grizzly videos is OK.

I watched the tape because a valued source suggested I should. These are my observations:

1.The prisoner is very clearly James Foley

    2. His alleged executioner is from South London, and probably of West Indian genetic origin

    3. Mr Foley does not display any fear consonant with imminent death

    4. The ‘beheading’ is faked.

As that last point above has conspiracy-theory looney written all over it, let me expand on the reasons for my opinion:

    i. The knife his captor uses could no more sever a head than than my little finger could punch a hole in the Hoover Dam. It is far too small….and far too small to have produced the cleanly-guillotined appearance of head and body at the end of the film.

ii. The universally advertised ‘gruesome gore’ has been hugely overdone by the media. There is no blood at all in the movie action…and that’s precisely when the director cuts. But I don’t believe the knifeman cuts anything.

iii. We see (very briefly) knifeman sawing away at Mr Foley’s neck – but zero blood. That is medically impossible: when you sever the left and right common carotid arteries, the spray of huge volumes of blood is quite incredible. That’s probably why we cut to a still of head and body at the end.

iv. If James Foley has been beheaded (and the closing still shot looks real enough to me) then he certainly was not killed at the spot and with that implement. Again, there simply isn’t enough blood.

    v. I would guess that 99% of sites previously running the video have now removed it – Youtube certainly has. This coupled with the heavy stuff about Terrorism Act offences and overdone gore suggest to me that a coordinated media campaign was carried out by the authorities to minimise access to the film. The reason, probably, was that too close an examination would lead most people to the same conclusion as me: the film is authentic (as the CIA puts it) in that it does show James Foley, and his voice refers to things that only happened ten days ago, so the action is contemporary. But it is NOT an authentic execution record.

Why that is so and who planned it I have not the faintest idea, because I do not engage with conspiracy mania when I have no facts or contacts to guide me. All I assert is that this video does not represent what it purports to.

My hunch is that Foley was told to memorise his speech in order to take part in a propaganda stunt, and that he would not be executed. But he was, of course…because you always know where you are with Islamists: they always lie.

None of this makes the ISIS action any less barabaric: if anything, the mental cruelty makes it worse. I leave it up to others to draw their own conclusions as to the whys and wherefores.

  • Yep, NO blood.  Another kosher slaughter psyop.  "ISIS", Boo!  Hide under the bed, are the clowns Senator McStain was visiting a few months back.

The Iraqis are not cooperating with Israel's plans and so we need to send US soldiers back in to make sure things work out as planned.  Hence, the appearance of the "monsters" to frighten the TV watching herd.

Pretty interesting, especially considering the "executioner" depicted in the video is obviously British. This whole thing stinks of a CIA-Mossad-MI6 collaboration, probably with some cooperation by the Saudis as well.

The criminalization of the viewing of a public piece of evidence about an alleged recent event, is an all but total giveaway that conspiracy is afoot - just as the criminalization of the questioning of the official version of an alleged chapter of German history is.

  • FAO His Excellency Sir Peter Westmacott  KCMG  RVO    Ambassador to the US

    Dear Sir Peter,

I am prompted to write to you because I saw and heard you on what passes for 'news' in these isles on the likelihood of finding the British subject who carried out a supposedly heinous act.  I note that a naive assumption has been made - that the recorded voice was that of the masked murderer.

Although I have served as an orthopaedic and trauma surgeon and thus was used to amputating limbs, I have shrunk from 'videos' allegedly reporting decapitation in Syria where HMG has been supporting terrorist actions against the sovereign government there.

However, because this terrible death of Foley was being given the full 'megawattage', I viewed it after my sister had sent me the link.  I watched it several times, bracing myself as the knife was drawn across the young American's neck.

It was obvious that it was a rather poor piece of prestidigitation.  I made these comments to my sister (enhanced now for explanation) and they were placed on a web site.  I understand that away from the MSM there is universal scepticism as to the 'decapitation'.

    1.  Knife shown, if real, could not sever even the soft tissues.  Same with Dr Kelly and his wrist.  To sever tendons and nerves one needs a knife of scalpel sharpness.  I know that in shechita, for instance, the knife is extremely sharp.  (Personal communication - from Jєωιѕн butcher - I was on my way to Gaza via Tel Aviv.)

    2.  The neck - after ''beheading'' is very clean cut and not bloodied.  With a knife, that was likely not sharp, the skin incision would have been jagged.  Did the assassin take a wet cloth to clean the neck stump?  Of course he did not.  Maximum effect was the aim.

    3.  This stump of neck, parts of the right hand look pale and bland - looks like a dummy from an Oxford Street window.

    4.  I note 'pixillation' above the left ankle.  Why?

    5.  The suit is NOT a Guantanamo 'jump suit'.  Someone had written of him being clad in a 'jump suit', from that torture centre, for extra effect.
