I think this belongs in General Discussion. Not here. This is rather trivial.
If they wanna build a small Islamic Center there, I'm okay with that. This is the United States after all, and they are in compliance with the current law of the land, but I think it's stupid that they decided to set up shop right there in front of a pig farm (of all places) and then had the nerve to tell the owner to pack up and move. I wouldn't have reacted in the same manner the farmer did, but he was publicly insulted.
I have a feeling that there is more to this story than what BOTH sides are letting on.

Have you ever read "America Alone: The End of the World as We Know It" by Mark Steyn? It's a chilling book full of statistics about how the Muslims are overtaking Europe by having many more babies than the native born Europeans. The demographics have changed in just one generation and what will happen in the next 20 - 30 years? Read the book and say your prayers.
Visit almost any university here in the U.S. and you will see plenty of Muslims.

Your forgetting this is the Southwest here, not Europe. You think Arabs and Moors scare me? They have me and the hordes of my Latino brethren to contend with. Let them try and outbreed us.

Except most Latinos are either lukewarm, I-can-fornicate-and-get-drunk-all-I-want Conciliarists or "evangelical" Protestants. An ever-increasing number are even converting to Islam these days. This started after the 9-11 attacks, when many Latinos, brainwashed by the idiot left into believing that the evil gringos are the source of all their troubles, began to admire and adulate the Arabs. Arab-sounding music, bellydancing, and Arabic-themed soap operas are all the rage now. Mosques are opening up all over Latin America. In the USA, just like the Anglo population, few Latinos have more than a sentimental attachment to "Mother Church."
No, the Hispanics can breed all they want (and even their birthrate goes down substantially after a generation or two in the US) but if they are all evangelicals or Muslims, what good will it do the Church?

Many lukewarm Latino Catholics have also left the Catholic Church to become Mormons or Protestants. One reason was that many of them were not educated in the Faith very well, particularly since Vatican II.
