We are entering the most dangerous era of human history. Having grown up with the reality of the possibility of nuclear h0Ɩ0cαųst, I don't remember ever hearing world leaders actually threatening the use of those weapons. But I believe that China and Russia are actually thinking "Now may be the time." We have a weak indecisive leader and it's possible they may be thinking that a first strike might actually succeed as our leader might not have the decisive ability to push the button of response. Unfortunately, any maniac who thinks the world can survive a nuclear war is simply stupid. Most world leaders have average to below average intelligence and haven't studied the science of nuclear war. There is very strong science that predicts that deployment of just 5% of the world's nuclear arsenal could trigger an irreversible nuclear winter that would destroy most life on earth. There is also strong science that predicts a single nuclear bomb (with an initial core temperature 100 million times hotter than the core of the sun) could trigger combustion of the atmosphere that would be irreversible and would turn the surface of the earth into a cinder. Our future is in the hands of low grade lunatics and we are doomed unless the hand of God intervenes to save us, which he may have already been doing since the advent of the nuclear age.

Cresson H. Kearny's Nuclear War Survival Skills is an excellent book which treats of this subject in great detail, among other things it gives information regarding the destructive radius of nuclear bombs according to how many megatons they are, several ways to build fall-out shelters &c.

So that article on the Jones site was a report that a Russian said "If you fire missiles at us, we will fire missiles at you."
