  • Let's pray for the consecration of Russia!
If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

  • I'm very conflicted on Russia.

If I had to pick a secular leader's picture to hang on the wall it'd be Putin.

Everyone in this thread has (rightly) pointed out their nascent faith and our decadent morality.

And yet...and yet, prophecies, both approved (Fatima) and unapproved (Great Monarch and Irlmaier) are unkind to Russia...

Across the board, they are *not* on God's side in the Eschaton.

    Hmmm...

Consider that a good portion of Rosaries prayed, world-wide each day are for the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

These prayers must be having some cuмulative effect and that hearts in Russia are changing.

Could it be, that Russia's leadership is split ?
I've heard that the Israelis claim Medelev is a Jєω, but what is Putin?

Could Putin's public move towards Christianity be real?
Is it a step towards the true Faith?

Perhaps an analogy to Russia's "pre-conversion" could be similar to the journey many traditional Catholics have of coming back to the Faith initially through the Novus Ordo, before they are given the graces to find the True Faith.

"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

I think the errors of Russia have clearly SPREAD, but does that mean Russia retained her errors? If anything, I've heard Putin warning plenty of others NOT to follow what Russia HAD done in the past (particularly, Afghanistan), and instead to turn away from Russia's old mistakes.

    Quote

He would punish the world "by means of war, hunger and persecution of the Church and of the Holy Father," using Russia as His chosen instrument of chastisement. "To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the Consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart" and promised that, by this single public act, Russia would be converted and peace would be given to the world. The Mother of God cautioned that if Her requests were not granted, "Russia will spread its errors throughout the world, raising up wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer and various nations will be annihilated."

Reminds me of Jonah and Nineveh (Assyria, which is, of course, now at the heart of what may trigger a huge war since Russia stands with King al-Assad, but the West is throwing in with Turkey and the "rebels").

Assyria had had ALL these bad prophecies pronounced against it, but the prophet Jonah was told to go proclaim Nineveh's destruction if they didn't repent. Nineveh repented, which Jonah had figured they would, and Nineveh repenting pretty much damned Israel, because Israel didn't repent even though it had tons of warnings (LIKE US!) from Elijah and other prophets. And within 100 yrs (if Jonah was approx 800BC, and N.Israel exile 730BC?), N.Israel got ROLLED by Assyria, and dragged away with hooks.

So it's happened before, more than once if you include other apparitions and scripture, so I think that's how God works:
    • a formerly-Godly nation goes bad and ignores prophecies
    • a prophet has to deliver a warning to an evil society
    • the evil society repents BY GOD'S WILL (ie, we don't know WHY Nineveh repented, anymore than we could know why Russia might repent)
    • and within 100 years, the formerly-Godly state (Israel) suffered under the now-repentant city (Nineveh).

And that's what the Holy Mother's message is: the Church didn't consecrate Russia, an act of faith that was bungled more than once, ...and Russia would be God's instrument of chastisement. I personally fear it's too late: it's probable that God handled Russia's conversion on His own, which was His Will (see above), and God will now use Russia as chastisement, JUST LIKE God used Assyria against Israel (and another hundred years later, God used Babylon against Judah).

But maybe the Pope will pony up; if he doesn't get on the ball, esp since Russia seems to be mystically changing for the good now, and especially after dedicating his Pontificate to Our Lady of Fatima, well, that's a slap in the Holy Mother's face. So Francesco needs to get to consecrating Russia yesterday. Maybe he will. Or maybe he thought that dedicating his Pontificate to Our Lady of Fatima was good enough, and it's chastisement time.

Whatever, we accept God's will, no questions asked. God is Just.

  • Is the idea here that Russia is converting without a proper consecration? Wouldn't that do violence to the Fatima demands of Our Lady?  My thoughts aim towards the idea that the defectors Golitsyn and Lunev had it right.

From Wiki:  Anatoliy Golitsyn was quite likely the most important Soviet intelligence officer ever to defect to the West. Golitsyn worked in the strategic planning department of the KGB in the rank of Major until he defected to the West in 1961. In 1984 , Golitsyn published the book New Lies For Old: The Communist Strategy of Deception and Disinformation, wherein he predicted the collapse of the communist bloc orchestrated from above. He warned about a long-term deception strategy designed to lull the West into a false sense of security. Author Mark Riebling stated that of 148 predictions made in New Lies For Old , 139 had been fulfilled by 1993 while 9 were clearly wrong; an accuracy rate of 94% as compared to the CIA which completely failed to predict the collapse of the Soviet Union. Golitsyn followed up New Lies For Old with The Perestroika Deception: Memoranda to the Central Intelligence Agency  published in 1998 that overviewed how the collapse of Soviet Communism went according to plan.

Maybe God has other plans for Russia. Who knows. But I wouldn't trust Russia.

I'd suggest the violence to Our Lady's demands was done by the Church not consecrating Russia for 97 years.

I'm not sure about the USSR planning to fall to keep the West off guard (that suggests that communism works, which it just doesn't), but even at full strength (eg, the Russians take Georgia, et al back, get control of their nukes, raise an army, get their economy under control which it's not, &c), it couldn't hold a candle to the U.S. What Golitsyn couldn't have known was the tech boom that essentially made the U.S. the world's telephone operator. (And much more.)

    The USSR simply failed.

And so has the Church re: consecrating Russia.

  • Russia has been planning for ww3 for decades. All it would take for the US to fall dead in its tracks is for a EMP to go off and we're toast.  We are basically at the mercy of computers today. Once we're out of the picture, Russia would dominate the world scene.  Read Alois Irlmaier's prophecies. He details very well the speed in which Russia takes over Europe.

Futile or dangerous? Saudi Arabi attempts to seduce Russia with lucrative oil and gas deal

After attempting  the same with an arms deal, Saudi Arabia is now reportedly resorting to the perhaps the only more irresistible resource than weaponry- oil. This comes as a strategic offer given that Saudi Arabia has dethroned Russia as the world's biggest exporter.

Syrian opposition sources close to Saudi Arabia said Prince Bandar, head of Saudi intelligence, allegedly offered to buy up to USD 15 billion of Russian weapons as well as ensuring that Persian Gulf gas would not challenge Russia's gas sales to Europe.

Prince Bandar, head of Saudi intelligence, allegedly approached the Kremlin with a mix of carrot-and-stick approach coupled with a package of economic incentives. “Let us examine how to put together a unified Russian-Saudi strategy on the subject of oil. The aim is to agree on the price of oil and production quantities that keep the price stable in global oil markets,” he said at the four-hour meeting with Mr Putin. They met at Mr Putin’s dacha outside Moscow three weeks ago.

The talks appear to offer an alliance between the OPEC cartel and Russia, which together produce over 40m barrels a day of oil, 45pc of global output. Such a move would alter the global economic landscape.

"Bandar offered to intensify energy, military and economic cooperation with Moscow," a senior Syrian opposition figure also told Reuters.

    A dangerous move?

Saudi Arabia could help boost oil prices by restricting its own supply. This would be a shot in the arm for Russia, which is near recession and relies on an oil price near $100 to fund the budget.

But it would be a dangerous strategy for the Saudis if it pushed prices to levels that would endanger the the world’s already fragile economic recovery. Crude oil stocks in the US have already fallen drastically this year, and according to Goldman Sachs, the “surplus cushion” in global stocks built up since 2008 has already been eliminated.

    A futile move?

The Putin-Bandar meeting was injected with threats of a “dramatic turn of events” in Syria. Nonetheless, other sources report that  Mr Putin remained blasé to the seemingly irresistible Saudi offer. “Our stance on Assad will never change. We believe that the Syrian regime is the best speaker on behalf of the Syrian people, and not those liver eaters,” he said, referring to footage showing a Jihadist rebel eating the heart and liver of a Syrian soldier.

A Western diplomat told Reuters that Russia’s position was more a matter of prestige and geopolitics, and that the country was unlikely to publicly back down for the sake of mere economic incentives.

The last memorable time Saudi Arabia tried took part in using its oil-prowess to influence foreign policies was the 1973 OAPEC oil embargo, resulting into what came to be famously known as the enduring 1973 Oil Crisis.

As I recall, Alois had a vision of WWIII, but he noted that Russia went through a real conversion during this period.

WWIII, is a man-made disaster that rolls immediately into the 3-Days of Darkness.

After that, at least two thirds of the world population is dead and the remaining people remain or become Catholic for "Fear of the Lord".

This marks the end of the "5th Age of the Church" and the beginning of the "6th Age of the Church".

The 7th Age is the ascent of the anti-Christ.

This Ven. Bartholomew Holzhauser says this is the greatest persecution of the Church.

This age terminates when the anti-Christ fakes an ascent into Heaven and is turned into a human fireball from Our Lord's breath.

After seeing their false "messiah" go up in smoke, the Jєωs then convert en masse.

Then, it the "Final Judgment" in Jerusalem.

Russians aren't mentioned in the 6th and 7th Ages.

Interesting but I hadn't heard about a conversion on Russia's part.   Can you have a source for this?
