With the threat of a rising Hezbollah on its north, a surly Iran on its east, a Russia-leaning Egypt on its west, and squabbling protesters within…
…Israel’s setting for the first time clocks in as its hour of desperation.
And now with the “Axis of Resistance:” Syria, Iran, Lebanon, adding Iraq to its ranks, Israel is left reeling on its back foot.
    It gets worse.
[Clip: “Breaking news from the Middle East, an Israeli F-16 fighter jet was shot down this morning in northern Israel near Syria by what is believed to be Syrian anti-aircraft fire. Both pilots were injured, one seriously.”]
    Let’s be clear.
The Israeli plane invaded Syria’s air space and after being struck by a Syrian surface-to-air missile within Syria, exploded and fell on Israeli ground.
Though America touts that ‘Israel had the right to defend itself,’ International law’s on Syria’s side, any country would’ve done the same.
The upshot is everyone’s seeing Israel’s ‘invincible’ military slapped in the face.
The beast does bleed after all.
Hezbollah’s now boasting that the downed jet “marks the start of a new strategic phase,” While Iran gets their own digs in.
[Clip: “It was not Iran that hit invading Israeli aircraft. Syria air defense responded to Israeli attacks. Syria’s reply to Israel’s recent acts of aggression has one clear message. Israel strikes in Syria will no longer go unpunished.”]
    Israel now has a choice.
It either changes its policy towards Syria and negotiates with the major parties involved—especially Moscow with its power of leverage—or face a military confrontation with Russia itself.
And it’s either democracy for all or apartheid for Israeli Jєωs only.
The bait of the ‘two state’ has passed its expiration date.
[Clip: “Is the two state solution gone?” “I think it went a long time ago. I think it was a useful political device to keep the gullible on side, give the press something to talk about, give Mr Netanyahu an instrument by which to do what magicians do, distract people while they pick their wallet.”]
    Nailed it.
Picking the Palestinian wallet with thieving illegal settlements and foreseeable laws extorting Palestinian property in East Jerusalem, Bibzy’s sleight of hand is laid bare for all the world to see.
    Question:
How does Israel achieve a Jєωιѕн State in the Middle East when it is not accepted by its neighbors?
    The map tells it all.
[Clip: “In the Gaza Strip and the West Bank resentful Palestinians loom large as thorns in Israel’s sides, their refugee camps in Jordan are on simmer, while Syria challenges the established view of Israel’s air superiority.
Turkey can turn on Israel anytime, Lebanon’s voice against Israeli aggression is louder than ever, and Iraq’s and Iran’s Shiite alliance grows stronger every day.
It all bodes ill for Israel.
Hostility without, strife within, a militant pro-Russia Egypt operating in the Sinai, paired with Russian bases in Syria…”] …how many enemies does Israel want when its only friend, America, is teetering on bankruptcy, and Europe’s backing of the Jєωιѕн State is shrinking?
Once upon a time Churchill forecasted Britain’s finest hour, but Israel’s desperate hour is upon it.

  • Isaiah 17 Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)

17 The burden of Damascus. Behold Damascus shall cease to be a city, and shall be as a ruinous heap of stones.
The cities of Aroer shall be left for flocks, and they shall rest there, and there shall be none to make them afraid.
And aid shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus: and the remnant of Syria shall be as the glory of the children of Israel: saith the Lord of hosts.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall grow lean.

-- Foretelling of the destruction of Damascus, one of the oldest inhabited city in the world, dating back to 6300 bc, which was founded by Uz, great-grandson of Noah.

This chapter also goes on to foretell destruction over the whole world, because man has forgotten God:

In that day man shall bow down himself to his Maker, and his eyes shall look to the Holy One of Israel.
And he shall not look to the altars which his hands made: and he shall not have respect to the things that his fingers wrought, such as groves and temples.
In that day his strong cities shall be forsaken, as the ploughs, and the corn that were left before the face of the children of Israel, and thou shalt be desolate.
10 Because thou hast forgotten God thy saviour, and hast not remembered thy strong helper: therefore shalt thou plant good plants, and shalt sow strange seed.
11 In the day of thy planting shall be the wild grape, and in the morning thy seed shall flourish: the harvest is taken away in the day of inheritance, and shall grieve thee much.
12 Woe to the multitude of many people, like the multitude of the roaring sea: and the tumult of crowds, like the noise of many waters.
13 Nations shall make a noise like the noise of waters overflowing, but he shall rebuke him, and he shall flee far off: and he shall be carried away as the dust of the mountains before the wind, and as a whirlwind before a tempest.
14 In the time of the evening, behold there shall be trouble: the morning shall come, and he shall not be: this is the portion of them that have wasted us, and the lot of them that spoiled us.

It already happened according to the commentary apropos to the verses in the Haydock Bible.

Of course, there are events in the OT that foreshadow what is to come, again, but I haven't heard or read about the annihilation of Damascus, per se (apart from the general chastisement and apocalypse), to occur, again, in the Deposit of Revelation through the Church fathers, nor have I heard it from saints' prophesy.

But Zacharias 13:8-9 tells us two-thirds of Jєωs around the world will be exterminated for their rejection of Jesus Christ, and the few Jєωs who remain will convert to the Catholic Faith.

Even some "religious" Jєωs know that scripture prophesies that most of them will be wiped out for their rejection of God, and it's a great source of discomfort for them, but they still fail to realize that the true God is Jesus Christ, which is why they still belong to the ѕуηαgσgυє of Satan.

It's part of the Deposit of Revelation that Jєωs in the future will be made to suffer and perish on earth for their rejection of God. In other words, Zacharias 13:8-9 hasn't happened yet...

I don't know either way, but i've read some interesting comments that since Damascus has not 'ceased to be' then this prophecy is not yet fulfilled.  'Ceased to be' would SEEM to mean that it is never a city again, especially when you add in the scriptural imagery of a 'ruinous heap of stones'.  Many protestant historians say this has never happened.
