  • Interesting that Putin isn't afraid to tell it like it is. Not so sure it's a good idea, though, to sell arms to Syria, but I don't really know much about the situation there. Interesting, too, that a once former atheistic country like Russia is trying to become a little more Christian, while the U.S., which started out with at least some Christian values, is now a humanistic society, at least in the red liberal states.
"It is licit to resist a Sovereign Pontiff who is trying to destroy the Church. I say it is licit to resist him in not following his orders and in preventing the execution of his will. It is not licit to Judge him, to punish him, or to depose him, for these are acts proper to a superior."

    ~St. Robert Bellarmine

  • it is interesting how everything is reversed from the Days of the Cold War.  Russia represented communism, which everyone feared would enslave the world into socialistic atheism.  The U.S. were the "good guys" who resisted and opposed this beast.

Now Russia is becoming the world leader in standing up for moralty, religious truth, and the natural law.  They do this imperfectly as they lack the Catholic Faith, but it is stunning that they are emerging as the new "good guys."

I am still not sure if this is an authentic transformation. A few token Jєωs have been removed from positions of power in Russia, the state run Church is having a resurgence (but neither was it really suppressed during the Soviet era) but there is a very very long way to go yet!

  • I agree, and I have always been skeptical of Russia.  It could be smoke and mirrors, but it seems to me that this might be legit.

The Russian govt. is actively fighting immorality, passing laws, arresting and jailing those who promote immorality, etc.

I do not believe this is the prophesied conversion of Russia given by Our Lady, but it could be graces from the Leonine prayes.

Notice how the usa is spreading its errors ie, obama promoting gαy marriage in other countries etc.

Everything is looking reversed now. Russia is promoting natural law. Pravda has many good articles against western immorality  nowadays.  I admire their crackdowns against gαys.

  • Buzzfeed's article about a HUGE anti-gαy protest at a gαy pride event has some good pictures, but it clearly a piece to turn Americans against Russians. Mentions the $15,000 fine for spreading homo propaganda passed in St. Petersburg this February (ap article is linked), and to me, while the pictures are sad (I don't like seeing any minority, even dangerous ones, being ganged up on), the comments at Buzzfeed are worth a read. Very much Russia hatred evident from all these "open-minded" pro-gαy Amerikans. The first comment calls fellow readers "comrades"!!!

Quote from the 7/7 AP article:
    Quote
ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (AP) — Russian police have broken up attempts to hold two gαy rights rallies in St. Petersburg, which this spring adopted a law against spreading "ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ propaganda."

Three rally organizers were arrested Saturday at a park in Russia's second city, and five others were detained at a later rally attempt near the landmark Smolny complex, Russian news agencies reported.

Only six people showed up for the second rally, and the three arrested at the first attempt were the only participants.

Although ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity was decriminalized after the fall of the Soviet Union, disdain for gαys remains strong in Russia. Some rally attempts provoke violence by opponents.

St. Petersburg passed a law in February calling for fines of up to 500,000 rubles ($15,000) for spreading "ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ propaganda."

 I think something positive is happening in Russia that will prep her for a consecration.

Putin is very patriotic of Russia.  He correctly sees that immorality leads to the collapse of societies. Look at Western Europe with its massively low birth rates for instance.

  • Funny how in the free west, we waste our freedom on giving sodomites free reign. We freely lose our souls. In Russia, the oppressed, they stand up for certain freedoms that we have sold out on.

I think giving them free reign is only the beginning.  What I am seeing is that they are gradually becoming the power elite in America.  Their agenda is becoming law, the media is supporting them, those that oppose them are being ruined, and the U.S. foreign policy is to push their agenda worldwide.

Employers, universities, government agencies, and even the military are being forced to re-educate and promote their agenda.

The president is in Africa right now pushing the gαy agenda.

  • The sodomites, pagans, heretics and all the others will eventually have to answer for there crimes against God.

The church and the world have both moved in the same direction these last five decades. Towards eternal damnation. Think about it. gαy clergy, gαy rights, gαy marriages, gαys molesting children, gαy parades, gαy nubs, etc.

It's all going hand in hand.

  • I meant ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ nuns. Not gαy nubs. Although nubs sounds better because they definitely are not nuns!

  • Ya I too wonder about Russia.  It is sort of a mind-warp, the 'evil reds' passing laws forbidding and punishing gαy propaganda to minors... and the 'land of the free, and the home of the brave' just striking down the federal law protecting marriage between a man and a woman.  Definitely crazy times we live in.

Perhaps signs of the turning of Russia in regards to Our Lady's Immaculate Heart? I certainly do keep an eye on news out of Russia these days.

  • One suggestion I've come across is that Pius XII's attempted consecration of Russia could be a grace in Russia at least promoting a few good things.

But anyone who is looking for a contemporary political leader to be a sort of savior will be sorely disappointed.

Yes, I believe that there will be a Great Monarch, but his time is not yet.  I am confident about a few points:

-The Great Monarch will only come after or well in the midst of (in media res) some serious chastisement.

-Some governments that we take for granted now will be erased for society (NB: The United States factors into no Catholic prophecy, unless one make a massive Stretch Armstrong reach regarding the Great Eagle.)  Perhaps American governments will exist (I think they will), but not in remotely the same manner as now.

-None of the so-called royalty will be the Great Monarch.  Except maybe Elizabeth II, who isn't remotely Catholic, none of the declared Kings, Queens, and Dukes have a thimble worth of credibility.  They use the Faith, at best, only on rare occasions for show, do practically nothing to promote the counter-revolution, and don't even attempt any exercise of power.  I believe God will make clear, to those with ears to hear and eyes to see whom He desires to be His new Lieutenants.

With this all said, Russia is doing some good and to that extent, the good it is doing ought to be commended.
