Sure, and cheikh Ahmed Yassine was really a Rabbi.
You seem ripe to believe it, since you just read it.

  • At any rate, it's logical that the whole Hamas vs. PLO thing has been orchestrated by Israel -- let's face it -- things couldn't be better for Israel when their enemy is busy cutting himself to pieces. It really is playing into Israel's hands.

Either God is smiling on Israel (which I doubt, based on other information) or they are behind the situation.

  • My spelling is absolutely correct in this case, but in my haste, I unfortunately wrote his entire name in French, my native language.

  • You cover alot of ground here Anty and it's your prerogative. In essence it provides a tapistry to illustrate your point of view.  Boards are well suited for doing this.

However, for me to counter-argue, because of the nature of board conversations, the scope needs to be kept narrow and focus;  Thus, is the current situation fomented by Hamas thus indirectly, by Isreal.

You would need to lower yourself truely unreliable sources to find today, an argument to the point that Hamas, is a tool of Isreal.  In fact, Hezbollah-Hamas ties are now well docuмented.  Hamas is a proxy of Iran, not Isreal.

That is not to mean I think Iran is behind it either, I have not wrapped my mind around what is going on.  But really, Isreal is dealing with enough uncertainty as it is, It don't need a second fomenting cινιℓ ωαr on it's borders.

  • Been deliberating this with myself.

I'm willing to agree that Isreal might see the situation in Palestine  to it's advantange and in any capacity it can, try and influence a prolonged Fatah-Hamas crisis.

I fall way short of thinking that Hamas is radio-controled by Israel though.  You can see the above as a reversal from yesterday.

  • Anty,

Our standing positions are so foreign and different, there is no point to debate... unless it's like I say, by little chuncks.  I understand that your not inclined and that is fine.

I'll only remark that I don't think of Isreal as neither a persecutor or a victim.  While I'm sensible to human suffering on both sides, I try to remain as neutral as I can to not cloud my judgement.

And as you see from my last message, I deliberate and occasionally change my mind.

  • Anty,

To illustrate how somewhat backwards your view of Hamas-Isreal is today;  Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported today, citing a specialist in Israeli affairs.

A secret meeting occured last October with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora, Saudi National Security Council Secretary-General Prince Bandar bin Sultan and Egyptian political adviser Osama el-Baz in Egypt.

There, they reportedly discussed cooperation to confront the Iran-Syria axis and their militant group proxies, such as Hamas and Hezbollah.

This is big, and gives weight to unconfirmed reports I had been getting.  Isreal, building bridges with Sunni nations to counter the Shia rise.
