We celebrate 4th of July to celebrate freedom from the Protestant English who persecuted our ancestors in Ireland and again here in America. America was discovered by Spanish italian and Irish Catholics.
Under the king of England penal laws were before and after the 13 colonies.  Nj was one of the 13 colonies.  There in Burlington county  there was a priest was hung. They were murdering Catholics and throwing them in ditches.  German Priests from Philadelphia would disguise themselves as farmers and trappers and go to secret locations to offer Mass.  Slaves were treated better then Catholics.  This why we Americans celebrate 4th of July for God and Country.

Catholic action used to be a tradition and teaching of the Roman Catholic Church.  
They shall know us by our fruits.

Guess what I marched in the town where they persecuted my husbands family and tried to burn down the local Catholic Church.  Crosses burnt down.  Every Protestant in town had a float or marched.  Nothing from the newly merged "catholic community "
I was the only Catholic marching holding my sign with pictures of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It said restore all things in Christ. St pope pius x. It also honored him too.  It was great to see a traditional families giving out rosaries scapulars and prolife materials. They were from Our Sspx Chapel and one novus ordo woman with them.  When my fellow parishioner saw me she came out and marched with.  Before that I was persecuted by a parade organizer.  By the Grace of God he blessed me with bag pipes behind me.  
Then I went home to meet up with my husband who was working in the farm fields before he went to run an errand. We went to pizzeria owned by Italian Catholics.  We split tuna hoagie. Later we went to Mass, confession rosary and benediction because it was first Friday and 4th of July.  Our Pastor, Father kevin Robinson offered up to God the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
