  • Unforunately, Fr. Mawdsley has misfired of late, asserting that if a Catholic pope were elected, he should not get rid of the New Mass immediately or abruptly, but phase the Tridentine back in.

No, Father, that's not acceptable.  That's a non-Catholic service, displeasing to God, and harmful to souls.  If he's worried about the Latin, there's nothing that says the Church couldn't permit offering of the Tridentine Mass in the vernacular for a time.  St. Pius X gave the Hungarian Eastern Rites a few years to transition away from Hungarian back to Greek ... though he passed away and then Benedict XV didn't follow through with that.

Now, if some NO "priests" cling to the NOM for other / theological reasons, they need to be shown the door until they convert.  What's the big deal with this?  Don't they claim that the Eucharistic Prayer I is basically the Roman Canon (with a few minor changes).  Are they THAT attached to Eucharistic Prayer II?  Why?  Because it's shorter and they're lazy?  Those types too should be shown the door.  Of course, they need to be conditionally ordained (the ones that are salvageable, and probably put in simplex status until they're re-educated, with the exception of an emergency power to absolve sins after a crash course in Catholic moral theology).

Traditional Pope (the Holy Pope of Catholic prophecy) should IMO:

    1)  Immediately depose the entire Conciliar / Novus Ordo hierarchy.  Since they showed that they did not live up to their chief obligation, to uphold and defend the Catholic faith, they're all gone ... every last one of them.  If they're salvageable, they come back as priests ... after conditional ordination.

    2) Every Traditional priest will be consecrated a bishop ASAP (with some needing conditional ordination to keep peace in the Church, where some Trads dispute the validity of others) ... and put in charge of a territory, preferably one they're familiar.  You'll have to find ways to fill gaps in areas with fewer priests from areas with more, but it can be done.  Coordinate with SSPX, SV groups like CMRI etc., their various "district superiors" to work it out, and delegate the distribution.

    3) ASAP perform the consecration of Russia together with all these Catholic bishops, declaring that anyone who fails to do their part will be automatically deposed, making it so all the bishops of the world will have performed the consecration.

    4) Develop a test, both of orthodoxy and of competence, for any NO presider that wants to return to the True Church.  If they pass, then require them to take a new "Oath" (against Modernism and everything else ... with the Trad bishops also taking the same), have the Trad bishop conditionally ordain them and put them in charge of a parish church that they're familiar with, allowing them to offer the Tridentine Mass in the vernacular, after a crash course.  Where there are shortages, dispense the faithful from Sunday obligation for Mass, to be replaced by a 15-minute service for the distribution of Holy Communion.  Novus Ordo priests take a test regarding moral theology and those who pass are permitted to absolve sins, whereas the others will require an intensive crash course.  Continuing re-education of priests takes place, but other than the exceptions for Confession, they will return in "simplex" state and on probation.  They'll be barred from any future higher office in the Church.

    5) In each country set up regional seminaries, 1-2-3 per country depending on the size of the country and ability to staff.  Re-appropriate the pre-V2 seminary complexes in each part of the country, quite a few of which can work with many times the number of seminarians.

    6) Continue also re-educating the re-admitted NO priests at a local level, where the Trad bishop will conduct the necessary lessons, phasing out the vernacular Tridentine Mass over a period of about 5-6 years.

    7) If there are still shortages, entertain the ordination of qualified married men (i.e. former Traditional seminarians) as needed to play a simplex role (e.g. just to get the Sacraments to the faithful), until properly trained.
