No, I believe that we are in a foretaste of the end and in a crucial phase as described in the Book of the Apocalypse.  But we are promised a time of peace and deliverance through the conversion of Russia and the rise of the Great Monarch, the King of France, who will "restore everything" and be "humble and poor" and uproot all the republics and evil customs, in coöperation with a humble, orthodox Pope, one of the greatest since Saint Peter the Apostle himself.  This, I believe, will be a foretaste and a sign of the Second Coming of Our Lord.  The power of Our Lord's grace and the glory and peace that comes from His teachings and His rule over society will be so great that none of the impious will have any excuse to abandon Him and turn towards Antichrist.  Then, at the end of time, when Our Lord passes judgment, all will come together and "words shall pass away."  God will be glorified, the Elect will be brought into Paradise, and, the bitter cup of judgment being filled to the brim by sinners, God will destroy the wicked world and the servants of the devil at the fullness of the age, all of the loose ends of the story being closed.

I agree basically with your understanding.  Myself, I've always considered this Apostasy to be a terrible chastisement of which we are worthy, but also a gentle, loving reminder of by our Lord to be grateful for the privilege of a Church whose hierarchy is functioning, orthodox and holy, as a means of preparation for a future age when that hierarchy and the sacraments it provides will be the only joy in an otherwise wicked and dangerous world.

I do not believe that I will live to see the resolution of the current Apostasy, and believe even less that I'll be around to see the Parousia while still clothed in my earthly body.  I do not begrudge the belief of others that suggest that the Second Coming is even now at hand, merely those that use it for their own enrichment by writing books or giving lectures about it, as though anyone can be an authority on that which has not happened and will only happen once.  My grandfather, who was similarly unimpressed with Darbyists and their alarmism, used to tell me as a child that the return of the King would be as the rising sun, but that it was even yet the still of night.  I believed that then and believe it now.

  • I think we are living Chapter 12 of Daniel.  The eternal sacrifice will come to an end and the remnant will endure tribulations.

  • I, too, believe that France still has an important role to play before the end will come. Pope St. Pius X, of blessed memory, stated this in an allocution. May she repent soon; for then will the ancient throne of the lilies receive an incuмbent again, subject to a legitimate Roman Pontiff, and the altars of Our Lord be established again in society. After the harmonious reign of altar and throne, the most dreaded trials will fall upon the world.

  • The end?  No.

But we are about to witness a two-fold reduction in humanity.

First, bloody revolutions and chaos imparted by men.

And second, a terrifying Conflagration that will burn the world and kill lots of people.

After that, we have a generation or three before the false Jєωιѕн messiah.

  • I agree with Laramie, after having studied eschatology, private prophecy and just all around the signs of the times for the past 12 years, this is the most accurate assessment of what is to come.

This timeline is a good one:

We're basically just about to approach riots and wars I believe, and this summer something big is going to happen, most likely at the Olympics, staged by the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr (illuminati) to clamp down even harder on us, IMHO.

Concur, we are about to enter the "Riots and War" phase.  These prophecies and the degree of the events can get worst or be ameliorated by evil or good works.  One factor we don't have any info on is the number of hidden Saints and Victim Souls in the world at this time who may impact how the Lord acts.  The coming Chastisement(s) are not fixed in timing or scope, depending on such factors as these. :gandalf:

Indeed - there must be some very holy and very hidden victim souls in these times that have stayed the hand of God from falling on this world.

  • If you listen to some of this information from Padre Pio you can see that there is no question of the end of the world ever happening anytime soon, as such, but WWWIII is on the way soon enough: http://www.cathinfo.com/catholic.php?a=topic&t=18696 .

I agree that I think we will get riots, including maybe race riots, this year probably starting maybe with an attack on Big Ben and Westminister.

What is your basis for believing there will be an "age of peace"?

"In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph." -Our Lady of Fatima.

This is not the only quote though, there are a lot of saints who speak about a great chastisement/tribulation and afterwards there being a period of peace. Just research "the great monarch" and "the period of peace."

There are a lot of quotes on this page: http://mercyradio.com/catholicprophecy.html

That is by no means on exhaustive list though.

  • I do not mean to be gratuitously argumentative, but "Divine Mercy Network" is your source? "Divine Mercy" is the insane and falsified cult previously condemned by the Church, yet promoted by Wojtyla the Worst and the Novus Ordo.

There is nothing in public revelation (to which we are BOUND) that supports an "age of peace."

There is private revelation (to which we are NOT bound) that claims there will be an age of peace.

The words of Our Lady of Fatima can be understood simply—that the Church will once again be retaken by Catholics before "the end." There is nothing explicit in those words about an "age of peace."

I do not believe you have made your case.

It's just a link I provided that cites other sources, so calm down, I have hundreds of sources. There are plenty of other pages with the same links and citations, I just linked the first one I found. So RELAX, read the citations and quit worrying about the domain name.

Yeah the age of peace is exactly that, the age retaken by Catholics, nothing more.

I don't have time to cite every book and private revelation out there, you can do the research, go do your homework. Make your own case if you're interested, you have the internet, clearly. I am not going to be the research minion here to serve your every whim.

I think the age of peace is in the book of the apocalypse, so it is public revelation IMO.
