Sirius is a feature length docuмentary
that follows Dr. Steven Greer – an
    emergency room doctor turned UFO
researcher – as he struggles to disclose
    top secret information about classified
energy & propulsion techniques. - See

I just heard Dr. Steven Greer on the radio.  He explained that he
has given up a $500 K job as a department specialist in ER to
do what nobody else is doing because he believes its important.

He says he has put his family's future on the line, with his wife's
cooperation, to do this important work..

So check out the movie if it sounds interesting.  He says they
would like to get "big screen distribution" but he's afraid that
any of the companies who could do that are not trustworthy
enough because he knows other men who have put up their
work for development or distribution, for a fee, and then later
find the company had "black shelved" the project, and no one
ever hears of it again.  He says they do this by paying you a
fee and then they "own" your work..

Steven Greer doesn't want to be "owned" by anyone.  He asserts
that one credible offer of two Billion dollars (with a B) was made
to him not long ago, and he turned it down.  He believes this
work does not have a price tag.

    I'm just the messenger!!

I was going to post this on the We never landed on the moon thread,
but I don't want to upset JohnGrey any more over there.

Since there's a bunch of technology threads here it looked like a
    probable target forum.

BTW Sirius is a astronomy constellation, and it's pronounced
like "serious."  The star, Sirius, is called the "dog star."  I once had
a dog that I wanted to name 'Sirius' but it never sounded right, so
I chose a different name.  The dog may have been "serious," but he
wasn't very intelligent.  Irish Setter.  Very good looking, though.

And this doesn't make you the least bit suspicious?

People who give up lucrative, stable employment to pursue alternative pathways may be genuine, but quite frequently they have a financier and a hidden agenda. Especially the UFO movement which is riddled with government disinformants etc.

  • Greer, like most other ufologists, is a fraud and a charlatan.  And like the rest in his field, he's built a comfortable business on bilking money from the ignorant and those that will believe anything, simply because they lack any faculties to think critically on their own.  I wouldn't trust him to give me medical treatment, but it's also not difficult to understand why he'd give up his practice given that he charges about a grand to teach one to (and this is a direct quote from some of his lecture materials) "initiate contact with ETs using consciousness, coherent thought, lasers, electromagnetic signals, and group processes."  Oh, yes, there's an enlightened soul for you.

One would have hope that twenty years of the so-called Disclosure Project and Greer himself would've yielded some kind of tangible fruit, even if only some kind of workable, testable theory.  Instead, his assertions follow the same twisted branching of logic as most in his predatory occupation: aliens exist => UFOs are aliens => UFOs possess advance technology => governments have capture UFOs => governments have advanced technology.

Of course, that all flies apart the second that you take little gray/green/reptilian/Reticulan men out of the picture.  The real problem with him and those like him is that they give no thought whatsoever to the fundamental problems in asserting that the governments of the world, or the NWO overlords that are alleged to hold their leashes, would be at all capable of reverse-engineering alien technology.

First, there's the anthropomorphic dilemma.  Aliens, the occasional anatomical grotesquery notwithstanding, are usually conceived as more or less resembling a human: bilateral symmetry; bipedal; two limbs dedicated to locomotion, two for manipulation; clustering of sensory organs.  The problem, of course, is that such conceptions patently absurd, as is the notion that their physiology would permit safe travel to and upon the Earth; this would require that they developed on a world of a specific temperature range, specific gravitation intensity, and an atmospheric similarity of laughable probability.  And that's totally ignoring the degree of unlikelihood that the placement and function of their sensory organs being virtually identical to ours.

But let's assume that all of this happen, there really are Martians, and they visited this planet, for reasons about which I wouldn't even hazard a guess.  Human leaders, shadowy and power-hungry (we've all watched a few late night episodes of The X-Files, amiright?), manage to nab one.  We find ourselves smack in the middle of the congruity dilemma.  The probability that we would be able to comprehend, let alone reproduce, technology hundreds, thousand, or tens of thousands of years ahead of our own is virtually nil.  Don't believe me?  Imagine you have a time machine (since we're already dabbling in absurdity) and an iPhone, a virtually ubiquitous device today.  You go back to three different periods, separated by orders of magnitude, 20 years, 200 years, 2000 years, and present the .  At twenty years ago, you would be hailed as a technological genius and probably create a business empire in the bargain.  At two hundred years, you'd be hailed as a prophet, and hold sway over thousands.  At two thousand years, you'd be a god.  That is until your battery ran out.  That's the problem.  We could no more understand or duplicate a gravity drive or inertial dampener than a habiline, possessing a stone club, could understand or utilize a nuclear warhead.

  • I appreciate your response, JohnGrey.

This topic has never been of much concern for me, but it's noteworthy that
a kind of industry is built around it.  On the website it says:

    Quote

Dr. Steven M. Greer, M.D., is widely regarded as the world’s foremost authority on UFOs and extraterrestrial intelligence, and is the author of four insightful books and multiple DVDs on the UFO/ET subject. -

    e-book store link

So, take that, and consider your first paragraph:

    Quote from: JohnGrey
Greer, like most other ufologists, is a fraud and a charlatan.  And like the rest in his field, he's built a comfortable business on bilking money from the ignorant and those that will believe anything, simply because they lack any faculties to think critically on their own.  I wouldn't trust him to give me medical treatment, but it's also not difficult to understand why he'd give up his practice given that he charges about a grand to teach one to (and this is a direct quote from some of his lecture materials) "initiate contact with ETs using consciousness, coherent thought, lasers, electromagnetic signals, and group processes."  Oh, yes, there's an enlightened soul for you.
    ...

..and I have to ask, do you know of any "others in his field" who have made
the claim of "widely regarded as the world's foremost authority..."?

I'm not trying to pitch for Greer or anything, I just would like to know if
you have a fast answer that could save me spending hours looking at sites
I'm not really interested in.  Research isn't my forte.

As for this film, apparently you can't see it yet.  You can pay to "rent it" but
you won't be able to get "your money's worth" until it becomes viewable.
You can "buy the DVD" but it won't be shipped probably until after the
Premiere Showing, as billed below.  So his radio appearance and interview was
pretty much a promo for the movie to hype up interest, which this post of
mine is perhaps doing for free - because he isn't paying me, that's for sure.

His online bookstore is called "MyShopify" - what's that supposed to mean?

Shopify doesn't make sense to me.  When you append -ify to a word, it
ought to be indicating a transformation of one thing into another, like
petrify or mortify or fortify or gratify or typify.

Is it just weird - the weird shop? My Shopify - like shop here and make
    yourself into a weirdo?

One of the products is a combo book-and-DVD called "Countdown to
transformation" ($24.94) - looks like this:

Here's an item that isn't being promoted front and center - and it's just
two weeks away - make that ONE WEEK away:

  • I think I already know what this meditation stuff is all about:

    Caption reads:
Cosmic Consciousness: A Course in Advanced
    Mantra Meditation  -  $25.00

This is Eastern / Buddhist / Hindu / Shinto so-called meditation,
which is really nothing but opening the door so that the devil can
walk into your soul.  It results in demonic possession ultimately,
which explains a lot of why the world is going downhill so fast,
as we approach the Age of Antichrist, and maybe are already in
it.  Pope St. Pius X thought the Antichrist may already be in the
world 100 years ago, and it's possible that he could have been,
but since his physical appearance and body is entirely under the
control of satan, with his knowing consent as a human being,
that is, perfect possession, his age would not show, and he could
be physically hundreds of years old and still appear to be in his
20's.  I'm not making this up.

This 'meditation' consists of 'emptying one's mind' of all normality
and thought of anything specific, so as to become entirely vulnerable
to whatever 'experience' may arrive - such as a vision or any kind
of 'mystical' feeling or dreamlike state (aka hypnosis). After one
becomes addicted or at least develops an appetite for this sort
of feeling or mood or EXPERIENCE (as JPII used to say) then the
devil can give you a little 'more', and then take it away, and keep
giving 'a little more' and keep taking it away, repeatedly, until your
resistance or sense of self-preservation breaks down and you then
give your CONSENT for him to do with you what he will - then you
    are in his power.

The movie opens today in Los Angeles and New York.

On the Laemmle Theater (9026 Wilshire Blvd., L.A.) website, you can
get matinee tickets for $6 or evening show for $11.  (So the price is
already coming down!!)  Here's the blurb:

    Sirius
Sirius is a feature length docuмentary that follows Dr. Steven Greer – an Emergency Medicine doctor turned UFO/ New Energy researcher – as he struggles to disclose top secret information about classified energy & propulsion techniques. Along the way, Dr. Greer investigates new technology and sheds light on criminal suppression. He accuмulates over 100 government, military, and intelligence community witnesses who testify on record about their first-hand experiences with UFOs and with the cover-up.

In the course of his research Dr. Greer is asked to look at an amazing find: a humanoid specimen, 6 inches long, from the Atacama Desert. Not until 2012 was he given permission to take bone samples and DNA from the specimen. At that same time a pre-eminent geneticist, hearing of this find, offered to do DNA testing. He enlisted an MD from the same university, world renowned for his work with skeletal anomalies, to view the x-rays and CT scans. Their expertise along with Dr. Greer’s expansive knowledge of the subject bring more questions than answers. Where did this “Atacama Humanoid” come from? Are there others like it? What does it say about the origin of the human species?

While on this odyssey, the audience gains a whole new perspective on technology, human evolution, and clandestine organizations who have manipulated and controlled the public for centuries.

I'd just like to keep up with what's happening.  How much of this is all
about artificial life support for the dying bad hypothesis of evolution?

"...more questions than answers."  -At least they can spell - they didn't
    say "...then answers."       HAHAHAHAHA
