    You thought that Democrats would bring the troops home ?  You where wrong, Democrats only have oversight and budget authority.

    You think politics is about left-right ?  Democrats won by appealing to the center... and Republicans just might do the same in 2008.

    You disagree that the military is over-stretched, argue with your son, not me.

    You read in there that asking your new Secretary to prepare a plan, and having him look at options mean a decision is made ?  you never worked in a large bureaucracy where many other such plans are collecting dust.

    You think that there will not be a long struggle and that Iraq is not the end ?... This one I will leave it with you. If it brings you comfert.

    You don't think the article mischaracterise what Bush said ?  I don't really care.
