Barrage of missiles launched at American troops in Iraq

    • Missiles were fired early Wednesday in multiple locations across Iraq, a senior U.S. military source in the country told Fox News, describing it as a series of attacks on U.S. forces from Iran.

    The source told Fox News' Jennifer Griffin: "Under missile attack from Iran. These are either cruise missiles or short-range ballistic missiles. All over the country." The missiles struck near Al Assad Air Base in Anbar, among other locations. There was no immediate word on injuries or damage.

    Meantime, Iran state TV claimed Tehran launched "tens" of surface-to-surface missiles at Iraq's Ain Assad air base housing U.S. troops.

    It came days after Iranian Quds Force Gen. Qassem Soleimani was killed in a U.S. airstrike in Baghdad's airport. A senior Iraqi commander of an Iran-backed militia also was killed. The U.S. blamed Soleimani for the killing of hundreds of American troops, and said he was plotting new attacks just before his death.

    Iranian officials and President Trump have traded threats since Soleimani's death, and more U.S. troops have been deployed to the region amid heightened tensions.

    Iran-backed militias in Iraq, known as the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), have threatened revenge on American interests and personnel for the killings.

    • Don't know about you, but I don't think the US should wage Israel's war for it. Israel has been trying to fight Iran for decades now. And while Iran have been helping to put down ISIS, Israel were helping to fund them. Israel also pushed for war with that whole "building up nuclear weaponry" panic a few years back, in a similar vein to the whole "WMDs in Iraq" nonsense. The US have NOTHING to gain from going to war here. 

    A few strikes that did no damage nor wounded any soldiers is a very small price to pay for the US' unjustified assasssination of Soleimani.

    It all depends on if no damage and no soldiers are killed. And what they do in the coming weeks.

    If those cowards in the Iranian military hide in their "cultural sites" we should level them to the ground as well. No loss -- the structures all belong to the devil anyhow. The buildings deserve to be leveled.

    All cultures/landmarks/languages that aren't Catholic aren't worth a bag of intestinal gas.

    Those American soldiers serving in Iraq aren't part of any global conspiracy. They are American men (and, unfortunately, women) that have been deployed there, and they are just following orders. They shouldn't have signed up, but the fact is, I have more compassion for them than I do for Scourge #2 (the Muslims) which only appears on the world scene when Christendom is about to be punished.

    What man loves the sight of the jailer bringing out instruments of torture? What child rejoices when his father goes for the spanking paddle, or other instrument of chastisement? The paddle itself becomes distasteful.

    The Muslims have always been the mortal enemy of Christendom. It's easy to root for their downfall. We are going to have to fight them one day, the only question is when. Oh, and speaking of timing -- with every passing year, the Muslims become more numerous and the population of the West gets smaller. Do the math.

    I guess I'm getting a bit excited about the Crusades to come...

    No, you're right.

    I guess I'm psyching myself up for the inevitable.

    It's not like Iran isn't Muslim. I can't get too upset about going to war with Muslims.
    It's not as though we can live in peace with Islamic countries indefinitely.

    Oh, and check the demographics -- time is NOT on our side. Muslims are going to conquer the world by the wombs of their women, just by having "natural sized" families, while the West aborts and contracepts itself out of existence. The West has embraced a new kind of "parenthood" whereby you get the glorious title of mom or dad by OWNING a pet: cat, dog, goat, bird, squirrel, etc. The Islamic world meanwhile is laughing at us, and I don't blame them.

    Also, if I think about Muslims attacking American soldiers for too long, I get angry.

    Sure, the American soldiers are in Iraq (wait a minute -- that's not Iran! Why is Iran attacking US Soldiers in Iraq?)
    I suppose that could make other Muslims mad.

    So perhaps, maybe the Iranians are justified in attacking the American soldiers.
    Just like the American soldiers are justified in defending themselves. That's all I'm saying.

    • Try to imagine explaining to your 18 year-old son why it is worth dying in Iran.  What do you say?  It’s not even clear that it will improve Israel’s security.  Maybe it is just good for the Likud Party?  How is that worth dying for?  Especially for a Catholic kid from Texas or the Midwest?

    • In any case, however you justify a war with Iran the vast majority of Americans are against it.  If another war breaks out that isn’t a direct threat to American territory, Trump should kiss his re-election goodbye.

    • I saw two Iranians eating a dead baby for lunch at work today, and I said to myself, “We need to bomb these people.”

    When I was young, they threw my parents into a gas chamber, and I vowed “never again!”

    Now I have absolute proof the Iranians are bombing Iraq: It was on TV.  Lots and LOTS or tv.  You can’t fake that!
