On the U.S., U.K. & France as they smash into war torn Syria.  Immoral, illegal, and unjust action!

This is an escalation towards World War III.

At this point, I’m afraid, informed Catholics of good conscience are forced to take sides. Do we we believe that the US, France and the UK are justified in their latest act of aggression against Syria, or do some believe, as I do, that Russia, Syria and Iran are on the side of the Angels, when they claim that either no chemical attack occurred upon the citizens of Douma, or that Assad bears no responsibility for any such attack which may have been carried out? In the absence of any firm credible evidence that any such incident ever took place, I am forced to take sides with the Russian Federation and its allies, including, of course, Syria and Iran. I am compelled, as a Catholic, to conclude that Bashar al Assad has never carried out chemical attacks against his own people. No incontrovertible proofs have ever been adduced by the West to this effect. All appeals by the Russians for multinational investigative teams to assess the situation are now, as in the past, rejected.

The OPCW (Organization to Prohibit Chemical Weapons) had people on the ground in Syria day before yesterday, ready to investigate the charges made by the US, UK, and French governments. They never got the chance to do their work. Trump ordered strikes the following day. He did not get Congressional approval for this action. Neither did Theresa May from her own Parliament.

The scenario parallels almost exactly what happened in the Idlib province just a year ago. Trump was ready to pull American troops out of Syria. Then the alleged sarin gas attack occurred. That finished that! A few weeks ago, Trump resolved once again to remove the US military presence from Syria. Boom! It happened again, another alleged chemical gassing incident in Douma.

How can Catholics sit by and let these catastrophes happen without expressing, at least on social media, and here on CI, strong disapproval of them?. The recent Syrian attack by the US and UK was totally outrageous and unjustified in the face of any real evidence presently at hand.

Perhaps CI forum members don’t wish to stray too far from their discussion comfort zones. Perhaps, a number prefer the endless rehashing of shopworn topics like priest pedophilia, the Dimond Brothers, the authentic Magisterium, and, of course, endless tirades on sedevacantism. I don’t know. But I think, Klaus and others, you must all agree that forum members are not exactly falling all over one another to post an opinion on this topic.

I completely agree with everything you said here, and I hope everyone noticed my posts on this topic.

I recommend everyone get their news from ALTERNATIVE NEWS sources, which are the only real sources of news. For economic and world news, I recommend the X22Report, which totally echoes what Hollingsworth said here (except for the Catholic part).

X22report.com is a free podcast that comes out 6 days a week, usually around 30 minutes, which you can download (mp3) or listen to on your phone. I usually download it and either listen to it on my phone, or even with headphones at my PC during the day. It's a good, efficient way to stay abreast of what's going on in the world, without spending a lot of time surfing the Net.

The man who runs it (Dave) has a ton of common sense, and he is mostly on track. Dave calls the bad guys "The Deep State" and that's close enough for me. He is critical of both parties. His closest thing to "hoping in the system" is hoping that Trump has a plan to unseat and overthrow the Deep State and the Federal Reserve. Like I said, he's close enough for me.

If Dave were Catholic, he'd get along fine on CathInfo.

P.S. I can't even read the Mainstream Media anymore, without getting angry from the lies and injustice. Good is literally called evil, and evil called good. I can't stand it. It's enough to drive you insane.

It's as obvious to me as the nose on my face that the Deep State wants war. I wish they would just go take a long jump off a short pier and leave the rest of us alone.
