Why on earth would Disney propagate a hoax about an alligator attack in its park?

To distract the Orlando Press from investigating the Other hoax.

Who is better at creating a magic hoax than Disney???

I'm sorry, roscoe, but common sense and logic must prevail.

Why would Disney promote the idea that their parks are less safe than they actually are?

That would be like an airline pretending a plane crashed. Or a fast food chain faking a salmonella or e. coli outbreak -- or a cockroach infestation -- at one of their franchises. Not exactly going to help sales or their bottom line!

Maybe Roscoe should check to see if his supplier is providing quality weed?
