How can we be sure that they won't install these battery bombs at the Apple factory or other phone plants in China or wherever they make phones? They certainly would target people individually as well.

Apple batteries can't even be removed to check.
Maybe we should all go back to landlines but businesses who depend on mobility would be shut down. Nobody would tolerate the great inconvenience.
Cellphones are the centerpiece of our economy
