Has anybody got an opinion on the so-called "UK Riots?"

Just seems to be pure godlessness.

If all the other commandments are "optional" then why shouldn't people steal and kill?

The phrase "Broken Britain" comes from British Prime Minister, Dave Cameron. Dave has no ideology apart from power at any cost. He said some "Conservative" things in the past, but when it was politically expedient to do so i.e when there was an election to be won, and "centre ground" to pander to, he distanced himself from those comments.

So apparently a 29 year old was killed by a police officer, having been shot in the head a few times with an MP5. This guy had pulled out a gun and shot at the officer first, the bullet had hit his radio.

People scrabble yelling for justice for the guy, then it goes from wanting justice to just getting free loot from various businesses and people.

There's two photos hitting the rounds on the internet, apparently some people are having their clothes stolen right off their back, and I wonder if they had tried to defend themselves they would have been the ones to face prosecution in the courts.

Out of many news articles I've read coming from Britain the criminals have more rights than victims.

Since you're in Ireland you probably know more than I do.

He's a video of a guy who was beaten, you can see blood on the ground, the rest is self explanatory.

Once guns get banned people will just turn to utilizing other things, like knives in Japan, or in this case bats, and hopefully most of those making the purchases seek to defend themselves, and aren't part of those criminally inclined.

Saying guns kill people is as stupid as saying pencils make spelling errors.

I'm more interested in why the UK gov't has 'allowed' the riots to continue as long as they have without rolling in with military as they had in N. Ireland at times in the past. Unlike here in the US, they don't have a posse comitatus to contend with, so it baffles me.

There must be a motive like terrifying the white Britons into accepting harsher curbs of personal freedom/rights and more surveillance (even though their surveillance state isn't helping at all with this) and harsher police tactics after this is over?

Perhaps (although the French didn't wake up after their Algerian/Muzzie riots, in '06 was it?) the citizenry will support less coddling and funding for N. African indolence and madrassas and finally get serious about curbing unfettered mohammedan immigration in the UK.

Actually, when swords were outlawed among the other classes in Japan, the people started using fans and smoking pipes to fight with, to the point where they had to be regulated also.

Situations like this just prove that hand to hand combat and melee weapons have not lost their usefulness.

It's still better to have a firearm as your primary defense though.
