  • So today I didn't say anything when I heard someone who'd probably listening taking God's name in vain and I regret it. I'd like to know if there are any writings from saints on how to overcome sins of silence so that I may be more inspired. It is more social anxiety that stops me from rebuking when necessary than wanting human respect.

  • This is no saint speaking but this is me:

Silence is good. A look would suffice.

Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

  • For instances such as this, you can simply speak the opposing praise, calmly, but obviously.

    Jesus is Lord.

    God bless us.

    Christ be praised, etc.
