Would you recommend that book by St. Alphonsus Ligouri or anything else to me, a new convert, for Lent? They have it at the book shop here. I'd like something to read in the morning specifically through Lent.

Having a tome of spiritual value in hardcover--better yet, leather--is priceless. I've been looking for "Preparation for Death" by Saint Alphonsus de Liguori in the red hardcover by Benzinger for years now. I read it every Lent--but mine's a paperback. Perhaps I'll have it recovered in leather before it starts falling apart.Would you recommend that book by St. Alphonsus Ligouri or anything else to me, a new convert, for Lent?
