Though I must say, it's interesting that the Modern World has done the SAME THING to St. Francis that they did to Christ himself -- created a limp, feminine caricature of the man.

The TRUE St. Francis was very attractive to the mind and soul:

All those are damned who see the Sacrament of the Body of Christ on the altar in the form of bread and wine by the words of our Lord in the hands of the priest, yet do not see or believe in spirit and in God that this is really the most holy Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

St. Francis of Assisi (1181-1226AD) on the Eucharist
Mini-Bio: Italian; preacher, mystic, stigmatist, founder of the Order of Friars Minor (Franciscans)

  • Quote from: IMPOS
To the muslims and especially muslim leaders he would say:

"The Christians act according to justice when they invade your countries and fight against you, because you blaspheme the Name of Christ and you are striving to remove as many people as possible from the true Religion."

"I Cristiani agiscono secondo giustizia quando invadono le vostre terre e vi combattono, perché voi bestemmiate il Nome di Cristo e vi sforzate di allontanare dalla vera Religione quanta più gente potete"

See: "Francesco di Assisi contro l'Islamismo"

    That's another good quote.

Thanks -- and welcome to Cathinfo!
