There is another thorn in the side of the Rashkovo district chairman. It is the candle which burns like an eternal flame and is guarded by the Catholics of Rashkovo at the spot where the demolished church altar once stood. The candle flickers in the middle of a field, day and night, in good weather and in bad, reminding everyone that in this spot there once stood the tabernacle of Almighty.

I ask that God make me a candle that will help others to believe in the true presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

Here was another light in the Church of Moldova;

Religious Affairs Commissioner Vikonskis has complained that although there are 150 Orthodox churches in Moldavia and about 200 Orthodox priests, atheists have less trouble and problems with them than they do with that one small Catholic chapel and with the only Catholic priest in all of Moldavia, Rev. V. Zavalniuk. Atheist cannot accept the fact that the spring of faith is dawning in Moldavia, that not only old people—who are already called to eternity — but also children and the youth are seeking God and His consolation.

This priest reminds me of St John Vianney. The devil said almost the same thing to him too.
